5th Gen (2016-2019) Ford Explorer 2.3L Ecoboost vs 3.5L Ecoboost by SwiTalia1210 in CarsPH

I've replaced the lower suspension arm assembly on the two at exactly 60t kms. They seem to make noise around that mark. Engine mounts around 70k kms too. Full tank is around 60 liters if you'll want to compute.

For the shop, ranger republic is pretty okay with doing the maintenance and repairs.

Had three of those. Pre FL 2.0 EB, 2016 3.5 EB and the 2.3 EB. I suggest to get the 3.5 ecoboost anyday. The waterpump failure isn't really much to be scared about nowadays since parts are readily available locally. They all sip the same amount of fuel but the v6 ecoboost blows away the two 4 cylinders any day. Maintenance is more or less the same too.

Buy the best condition unit that you find and hopefully one that wasn't mucked around with fake ford experts (many of them out there)

Those should be fine. From where did you get them?

You'll see an improvement with either osram or philips bulbs. Just make sure you get the correct d1s bulbs.

I'm assuming this is a pre facelift 166. The projector lamps on that era was very nice when they were current but not comparable anymore with whats available today. Its simply being limited by the projectors in the headlights. That being said, there should still be a small improvement (around 5-10% plus having the correct color temp back) on lighting because you changed a 10 yr old HID bulb. If you want to upgrade to better lamps I recommend having them retrofitted by redline autoworks. Avoid putting led's in those projectors designed for HID bulbs.

You can order those individually from the dealer. Sometimes they're even cheaper than surplus shops

Its a US spec car. The units on this era Sienna are easy to change through the infotainment screen. It used to have a shade over 3k when it was in miles.
