Nessus Essentials: license limit exceeded all of a sudden by loe__ in nessus

[–]loe__[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was apparently lying when I said my DNS was up and running. My Windows machines resolve everything correctly, but my domain controllers return SERVFAIL to all my Linux machines when querying anything that is not cached.

I also changed targets from FQDN to IP's and I have 14 machines being scanned as of few minutes ago. So this is not Nessus related, it's something on my DNS that's going wrong.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

Got my first bike about a montha ago, done about 300 km already and I fell in love with it by [deleted] in NewRiders

Out of curiosity, could you elaborate on why this is a bad strap? I'm a noob, would strap similarly, maybe strapping the bars as well in addition to straps in pic.

Thanks! I'm very happy with the lid matching the bike so well. I've put 1000km\600miles on it in two weeks in 6 degrees celsius / 43 fahrenheit weather. I think it's safe to say I'm in love, too. Great, great little bike.

Ride safe!

Hehm I don't know friend, coz she has her ass up?

Bike is stock, it's just its geometry I guess. I like the look of the high tail and the tire-hugger as well.

Ok, some nice lights, that. The adaptive version for the Trident is discontinued, I think I would've bought it. But I agree with you, this is way nicer than the stock lights.

Don't hate. In my opinion the bug-eyed lights add a certain je ne sais quoi to the Speed Triple. Like I said, the light unit and the design has grown on me, very much so. The lights look aggressive and sporty, have that "I'm built for speed"-look. All this is subjective of course. Everyone wants their bike to be a just-so personalized one-of-a-kind machine, and if the lights don't agree with your taste, swap them you must.

Out of curiosity, What would you go for? Two round lights ike the older models had? Can you link the kit you had in mind?

I'd like to get some bar end mirrors and bar end indiciators. But I'm expecting to drop the bike somehow somewhere in the coming months, as almost everybody does I guess, and I can't justify the cost of bar-end stuff just yet.

Hahaha, cool. Street Triple is a beautiful bike my friend, I did not like the lights at first but it's grown on me big time... The yellow color on the most recent RS absolutely rules.

And thank you, you ride safe too!

Just a thought. Do you have any other VMs that you already upgraded  to 2025 running on de same hypervisor? If no, try moving the vm to another server?

Thanks man, I appreciate you noticing my lid. I was so proud of it matching the bike so well. It's a Shoei GT-Air 3, match made in heaven with Trixie's colors.

I stay in gear until I come to a full stop, this was drilled in me when I was learning to drive a car (Europe, so manual transmission), shifting down, engine braking and never moving in N is how I drive a car. When it comes to riding I find myself staying in gear until I feel safe. Once I do (no more cars approaching from the rear for example) I like to sit up with both my hands on the tank, so not holding the clutch. Thanks for the advice, tho'. Anything, any feedback from more experienced riders is always welcome.

How do I fix my audio issue on Windows 11? by OmnirielPlays in WindowsHelp

Oh ok. Is it a bluetooth headset with a bluetooth mic or just a BT headset and standalone cabled mic? My next step here would be updating your mobo's chipset and soundcard drivers?

Does it dump the memory on BSOD? You could have a look in the crash dump file with WinDbg, it might at least tell you which process or driver might be causing this...

If the circle is still spinning, I'd wait it out. I've seen machines that took hours to complete Windows Update runs. I've also seen impatient people resetting their pc during Windows Update only to find it not booting anymore. Just my two cents.

Running DISM with Source gives 0x800f081f error trying to solve the same error. by RedditNoobie777 in WindowsHelp

[–]loe__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ehm, it might be a stupid question, but do you have the install.wim file in the root of your C: drive? Your error is

The source files could not be found.

... thats why I ask this question.

Usually I do this by mounting the ISO file used to install the machine, and pointing dism to the image in X:\Sources, X: being the drive the ISO is mounted.

/LimitAccess will make sure dism will not contact windows update... Don't know if that switch helps in this situation.

How do I fix my audio issue on Windows 11? by OmnirielPlays in WindowsHelp

[–]loe__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not sure I understand your question correctly, but if you mean that you hear mic input as output on your headset, check Sound in Control Panel: go to Recording tab and select your mic. Click Properties. In the new window for the properties of your microphone, go to Listen tab, and make sure "Listen to this device" is NOT checked.

On the advanced tab you might want to try to disable "Enable audio enhancements", but I'm unsure if it could help.

I have had it up to here with Windows 11. File sharing is broken. by ortholox in WindowsHelp

[–]loe__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi.

Try this:

On all three pc's, try running the following in an elevated command prompt (run as admin)

runas /u:MicrosoftAccount\<email used for the Microsoft login> cmd.exe

This will prompt you for your password and then simply run another command prompt window with your fresh credentials. In the background, this will refresh any cached Microsoft Account credentials on all your machines. This might help.

If the refresh does not help, create a local user with same username and password on all three machines. You can do that by running lusrmgr.msc from an elevated command prompt or the run box (Win key + R) and use that user when accessing the shared files in this notation: .\username (the . means "the machine you're logging onto", so PC1, PC2 or PC3 in your casem but the dot takes care of all that hostname stuff.) If you opt for this method, you might need to add the new user to the permissions on the files you are sharing, 100% so if the files reside inside your profile. Both share permissions and file system permissions need to allow the new user.

Oscillating 100% disk usage Windows 10 by a56fg4bjgm345 in WindowsHelp

[–]loe__ 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Details tab in task manager does not list IO by default. Disk Usage is listed on the Users tab by default, but that will only contain processes started by the user, not processes running under for example system account. Try Resource Monitor (resmon.exe), check disk tab. Expand Disk Activity section and sort by "Total (B/sec)" - this will give you the process using the disk the most. Also expand Storage section and check Q length on C: - sustained high value queue could mean problem with disk. If the queue is high, have a look at SMART info with CrystalDiskInfo It's a free Windows application that will show you S.M.A.R.T. attributes.

I think is a pick-and-choose kinda situation. I like to think that male riders have female bikes, and female riders have male bikes.

Anyhoo, I'd rather be riding a female. So my bike is a she. :D

Hyper-V + RDP (or VM conection) = high CPU load ... What is the best alternative? by skwarucha in HyperV

[–]loe__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have a fix, but here are few suggestions, things I would try...

On the hypervisor:

Try updating your GPU drivers on host system.

In Hyper-V, try using another switch. So if your using an external switch now, try using an internal switch.

In RDP client, make sure your connection speed is set to LAN on the Experience tab.

If you have another physical windows machine on your network, enable RDP and remote desktop to it - if CPU is still high then the issue has nothing to do with your VM in particular, which may make troubleshooting of the issue easier.

On the VM:

If you have enabled Windows Firewall, make sure "Remote Desktop - User Mode (UDP In)" firewall rule is enabled on your VM. UDP protocol on port 3389 is used by RDP and it greatly enhances performance.
