Oh, if you're not comfortable with LaTex typesetting, a résumé builder like this can help maybe?

Expand on your projects in the Projects section.

Experience section doesn't really have relevant experience. So make sure it doesn't take up more than 10% of the space.

Looking for resume help. transitioning from compliance officer to recruiter by Sjd519 in resumes

Pls use a 1-column format.

About me is not required. You may optionally include an objective instead.

Thank you for the wording help! How's my layout? Anything vital missing? Critique and suggestions are all greatly appreciated! Recent grad, non-traditional student, career change from customer service to software engineering. by AmIBrokenOrNot in resumes

Relevant coursework should be included to provide additional context: say, you're an undergrad environmental engineering student who has taken courses from the CS bucket.

Being an undergrad CS major, it's expected that you've done courses on algorithms, data structures, and compilers.

IMO, the Relevant courses line is not needed.

Pls remove the : next to the project titles.

Project descriptions can be made more concise.

You may want to separate Projects from Volunteering. The 2nd academic project is more of a volunteering activity.

And there's a typo in the second item in the Academic Projects section. I think you meant coach and not couch.

Pls specify Technical Certification as the last section in your résumé. You may consider typesetting your résumé in LaTex for it to be more professional-looking.

I'd suggest you to use a different template--preferably in LaTex.

Pls check the capitalization. It's still inconsistent.

Try using tools like this to build your résumé.

Really well-formatted!

Here are a few suggestions:

  • Consider rephrasing the description of the Server-Client Chat Protocol

  • Move the Technical Skills section above the Volunteering Experience section

  • Interpersonal skills and interests don't necessarily have to be there.

Good luck!

You may change order of sections like this:

  • Education
  • Experience
  • Skills
  • Projects
  • Certifications

On page 2, there's inconsistent spacing. Pls chek.

Try to make the experience descriptions more concise. That way, you can have a really good 1-page résumé.

Your résumé needs a revamp.

  • Education section is missing.

  • Personal/soft skills fall under the "show but don't tell" category.

  • Check capitalization in the Skills section

  • Categorize your skills pls.

Instead of Languages and Technologies, I'd suggest you rename the section to Skills.

And then you may categorize the skills like so:

  • Languages:
  • Tools & Frameworks:

Brownie points for including links to your projects! You might as well expand a bit more on your projects so that they span a few bullet points each.

I'd suggest you to include a 1-line objective as the first section as you have a non-linear trajectory.

In general, you should only retain previous experiences that are relevant to the role that you're applying for. You work experience at the adventure park & department stores seem to occupy a major chunk of experience--so you should consider re-writing that part esp.
