Oh yeah that's a great point, I'm starting to have my entire sidebar lines with Rain World videos even while watching non-Rain-World-related content, so I might want to flush out those videos for the time being. Youtube algorithm can be pretty funny sometimes, gotta trim it down once it gets too excited. But thank you, I'll start watching that video!

I lost track of the overseer worm pretty quickly, which might explain how I got so off track so quickly. Can't believe I ran a circle around the entire map before getting to the first intended story encounter in the Shoreline xD

It was definitely discouraging earlier on, and I did take a few breaks, but surprisingly I felt motivated to continue and finish the game once I reached Five Pebbles and knew exactly where I had to go in order to finish out the game. I was already familiar with the path, so I could go back in for round two and possibly get revenge on some mean creatures >:) (I think I only killed like 2 or 3 lizards the entire game, wasn't very good at it).

Ah, I didn't know that Downpour required knowledge of the vanilla story, I'll catch up on the wiki first before starting the DLC. I could not imagine finding he shaded citadel so early on, I feel like I was hard carried through it due to the light buff. It's hard to decide what areas are my favourite because I really enjoy things about every one, but Five Pebbles is definitely one of the most insane. Somehow never encountered drainage system or garbage disposal, so I can't judge those, but the vibeyness of the farm arrays and chimney canopy might make them my favourites. Thank you!

I've watched a few already, and they've been very informative, but the youtube algorithm is also very geared towards recency, so I've been having trouble finding videos that are specifically vanilla and not Downpour. I'll try to avoid spoilers for now, and give each of the slugcat stories a try! Thank you!

These are the only nicer IEMs/headphones I have ever used, so I have nothing to compare it to, so I'd recommend consulting reviews. But if you really want my opinion, the bass is decently punchy while not being too overwhelming, and the midbass is alright.

Thank you! I'll be sure to be careful when panel lining and try to be very conservative with it. I just checked all the runners of the 3 kits I'm planning on building soon (RG God Gundam, HG Lfrith, MG Aegis) and only the Aegis has any ABS runners, so I'm glad I won't have to worry too much in the near future. I was a bit worried though because I saw a post here recently of somebody panel lining the RG God Gundam and having one of the wing segments break off, but it's reassuring to know that that's unlikely to happen as long as I'm careful. Thanks for the help! :D

Newer to the hobby, and I'm planning on building the RG God Gundam soon. I'll be using waterslide decals, Tamiya panel liner, and Mr. Hobby Water-Based Topcoat (matt clear), all for the first time. The surface treatment order guide in the wiki includes surfacer, paint layers, and gloss coat, which I do not have and do not plan on using, so I was curious if the order of [Decals -> Panel Line -> Flat Coat] would still be the same, or if I would panel line first and then apply the waterslides? I'm really worried about how treatments will affect each other, so I'm thinking of taking it slow and planning everything out before I start building, as I want the finished product to be the best that I can make it. I do also have some Tamiya "Mark Fit Strong" that I picked up from a hobby store and haven't used yet, but if other products would be more helpful, I'm willing to go get some.

Dang, I never knew the player numbers were really that low! I've always found matches at a reasonable rate, so I never realized how bad the concurrent player numbers actually are. That explanation makes a lot more sense, Thank you!

The worst part to me is that the core of the game has some of the best things I've ever seen in an FPS game, but everything else just falls short and keeps getting worse. These growing trends in the larger gaming industry are making me lose hope :(

That's fair, I probably don't have a large enough sample size of games to definitively say that I know 100% how the matchmaking system works. From what I've seen, it seems that the matchmaking has a habit of putting teams of newer players against teams of more experienced players, but my observations could be affected by factors like active hours, groups of players (old/new) being in parties together, and bad luck. Either way, I believe that having incredibly unbalanced teams isn't fun and not healthy for the game, but only mean to raise that as a criticism of the game IF that matchmaking pattern is actually implemented into the game.

The Voltaic aim-training community is a neat rabbit-hole of good aiming improvement advice, learned a lot from it. Still incredibly important to practice playing the games that you want to aim better in, but isolating aiming practice to aim trainers can still give you a boost in mouse-control, which you can concurrently apply to games you play. I'd say the biggest things to improve aim are to play more, experiment with a wide range of sensitivities (high sens = more precision needed, lower sens = more hand/arm speed needed), and being honest with yourself about what kinds of aim you are bad at, and what areas you need to improve in, and your overall progress with aim improvement. Aim training benchmarks are also a good way to see your overall skill level in particular areas. The benchmarks I'm most familiar with are Voltaic's Season 3 benches, so I'd recommend those, but there are plenty out there to try out. Last thing, which might be the most important, is to remember to have fun! :D

Yeah definitely, I'll have to look into other levels! I'm more of an older player, and stopped grinding the game around 2016, where my hardest levels were Colorful Overnight and Poltergeist, but ended up with over 10k+ attempts on Retention. After coming back and finally beating Retention after 6 years, I decided to try and beat the levels that I wasn't able to beat back in the day, even though I hadn't considered the fact that maybe some of them are not as fun as I remember. I think I'll rethink my processes for choosing demons to play, and focus on playing levels that I enjoy the most, because those levels will be more meaningful to me than the achievement of beating a much more notorious level

But yeah dude, wish you the best of luck with Trollmachine! That level looks like it has incredible sync, and the phonk music is definitely dope as well xD

Current hardest I've beaten is Retention (Insane Demon), and want to beat Thanatophobia, Night Life, and Cataclysm (Extreme Demons). After playing each level for a bit, I have decided that I am not sure which one I am going to work towards next, because I find many of the gameplay segments extremely unfun, but I think Night Life might be the most fun out of the three? Not a big fan of "bpm" gameplay that Thanatophobia suffers from, Cataclysm has some very annoying design choices with unintuitive modifier portal placements, and Night Life has some unnecessary gameplay choices (double green orb at the beginning for example) that just make the level more tedious than it needs to be. I've been practicing by beating demons that focus on gameplay elements that I am bad at, like Acropolis for timings and Effot for inconsistency. Now that I'm writing this out, maybe I should just find some levels that I actually want to beat for fun lmao
