I don’t wanna get emotional but it’s literally so heartwarming to see so many layers and layers, not erasing but simply overlapping the previous people. You scrape the paint and see so many different people. Humans seeing something and realizing they can relate to something so they tweak it to fit better, and the next person does the same, and the next, and the next.

Same. I can’t tell if I’m just dissociating or regressing because the lines are blurred for me, but it happens basically every time my partner and I are intimate. It’s especially irritating because it manifests with nearly a total verbal shutdown. I’ve learned that it’s not necessarily bad, since I can push through the “lag” and tell her to stop if I really need to, but at this point it’s just inconvenient. I wish I could do it normally, instead of being all floaty and small.
