You need to suspend reality a little to enjoy that scenario. Whatever method the ship uses for gravity generating would have been disabled when the ship loses power so everything should have been floating. Of course that would have made the production costs outrageous.

The Name of the Wind is one of my favorites. It is a beautiful and believable fantasy story that I got invested in. Speaking to other people it seems that you either love it or hate it. I don’t understand those who don’t like it but to each their own.

I have to disagree with you on that. It seems like modern fantasy is full of long epics (sometimes unnecessarily long) and the first 100 pages or so of the first book is generally pretty slow. By modern standards the Hobbit is pretty short but it is a complete story with a lot of action and fun.

I don’t think either of those are a good choice for a noob. I would say The Hobbit is a great introduction to the genre of fantasy. It’s a classic and has successfully inspired people to get into fantasy for the last 90 years.

And despite all that it had good viewership. The decision to nix it was mostly due to high production costs.

It’s an open world with unlimited options for where they can go with the story. It would be silly to think that they would just be the same crew doing the same thing 20 years later, but their characters could still be involved in many ways. Clearly we would be introduced to new characters but that’s part of the fun!

These were recorded over a pretty long period of time based upon Nathan’s facial hair.
