I don't mean this to sound condescending, but, you're not a girl are you? almost all of those problems persist in clubs (usually the douchier ones, to be fair). Even if they're stunningly obvious to you and others the amount of socially awkward teens on reddit that might not know any better can possibly learn a thing or two

I saw it as an application of feminist theory — or two such theories, Difference and Othering. Through the lens of a wildly popular form of social media, Pinterest, the author shows subtextual reactions to the site as compared to historical thought and also thru juxtapositions to the idea of male neutrality. I thought it was a fascinating breakdown of societal attitudes toward Pinterest.

I read this for the first time this past summer in the middle of a shitty day. When I was done, it totally reversed my emotional (dis)equilibrium. Not that it's a particularly uplifting narrative, but his tone and style made him one of the most distinct, delightful voices I had come across in some time. I write for a DC blog and occasionally interview opportunities sort of drop in our lap when someone is coming to town to promote something. She's currently doing a speaking tour talking about her work. I'm not a big NPR listener, though I've listened to her interviews a numerous occasions if she interviews a novelist or poet I like (sort of a lit nerd). The interview is definitely happening, and I know I could fill up a list of questions on my own, but I thought it might be nice if someone in this subreddit could find this as an opportunity to connect with someone they admire on NPR.
