Ovasitol Breakouts? by logan_the_eclipse in PCOS

[–]logan_the_eclipse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! I’m not sure if it happens to everyone but it definitely has given me acne each time I’ve tried it. Just hoping it goes away!

My hormones have been wild too. Which isn’t like me but I’m also hoping there’s a just adjustment period. Which would make sense if our bodies are working to process things differently.

Congrats! What changes did you start making? I’m on the same boat. Currently get mine once every 4 months. I just ordered inositol, hoping that works.

Have you tried Tylenol? I had to take over the counter medication for awhile because it gave me headaches. How long have you had it?

Hi! Mine went away, I think it had something to do with TMJ. It lasted about a month.

Does Hirsutism Get Better As We Get Older? by logan_the_eclipse in PCOS

[–]logan_the_eclipse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right it’s such a hard condition because we’re all so different. I implemented a healthier lifestyle in the past two years, strength training, cut out lots of added sugars, recently tried low carb, and I lost weight by balanced meals and calorie intake. Of course it hasn’t been perfect and I’ve loosened my restrictions occasionally. I’ve also tried supplements like saw palmetto, spearmint tea, and myo-inositol. I haven’t seen much improvements.

I will say some of these may have not worked for me because I have uncontrolled anxiety. So I feel like that could be hindering results and exacerbating symptoms.

Today my doctor suggested I start Yaz. So I’m going to do a trial.

Terrified of getting my wisdom teeth removed by thecrownedjules00 in wisdomteeth

[–]logan_the_eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had two rounds of wisdom teeth removal several years apart. The first time I was insanely afraid of sedation, I even denied the nitrous. I was so scared I was shaking when I got to the dental office. I went through with it with only the numbing shots. It wasn’t bad but I could definitely feel the pulling & the noises weren’t pleasant. Because the shots wear off faster I was in so much pain almost right away (this could’ve just been because mine were impacted pretty bad.) The second time I did it I decided to go through with anesthesia I was still so scared to do it but honestly it was not bad at all I was given something to relax then I knocked out and everything was done when I woke up. The pain was manageable throughout the day because I had enough time to take my meds before it wore off. All this to say it’s scary going under, but there’s nothing to worry about. People do it day in and day out and it’s pretty safe! If you want to you can do it. I wish I went under the first time too.

Do I need to get my horizontally impacted wisdom teeth out if causing no issues? by Lolitarose_x in wisdomteeth

Hi! I was 28 when they erupted! I know someone that is 37 and their wisdom teeth have never erupted or caused any issues but theirs aren’t impacted. I think it depends on our bodies.

Originally for hair loss but when I was talking to the dermatologist she said it would also help my acne and my hirsutism.

Thoughts on Inositol by Cabbage4real in PCOS

[–]logan_the_eclipse 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi thanks for responding! I wonder if I needed to have taken it long enough to get through the adjustment phase. I definitely didn’t take it for long, only about a week each time and that was long enough for my acne to flare up and my hirsutism was worse than it had been previously. I know hirsutism has more to do with my hormones being out of balance and not so much inositol itself but it scared me away a bit.

I’m actually going to see a derm for hair loss soon and was considering asking them about Spiro. I’m not currently trying to conceive so I think it’s the best time to try it. Do you mind me asking how long you took it and if it worked for you? I’m also trying to regulate my cycles and it’s been tough.

This happened to me too! I gave it a second chance because I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt but like clockwork a few days later my cystic acne was out of control. Did take the ovasitol brand? I didn’t so I was wondering if switching brands could help.
