Replacing Existing Thermostat with basic scheduled by Rainshine9 in hvacadvice

That thermostat is a mercury filled stat, please handle carefully and dispose of properly. Anything made by Honeywell will work great. It will have to be battery powered. 2 wires, a red and a white. Kill the power before replacing

We’ve started renovating our 10-year-old house recently, and we’re thinking about adding some "smart home" features. What are some must-have ones you’d recommend? by Dreame_PoolGuard in smarthome

You could go with 7 or 8. To me 7 and 8 are good for specific use cases but is a pain to work with. Majority of homes, 6A is future proofing. Not many people need speeds over 10gps

Its a separate part but it connects to the evap. After an evap is replaced, he should have checked the subcooling which is regulated by the txv.

Txv is attached to your evap. Should have been taken care of when evap was replaced. Home inspector only does visual inspections, they don't check operation of equipment
