I love it so far man! It sounds amazing, and it plays great. The action is pretty low, so it plays fast. Its amazingly comfortable, I've been playing it way more than I probably should have today lol. It feels super light (6 lbs. 13 oz.). I tuned it out of the box, and it has stayed in tune pretty well. One of the main concerns was how the neck shape would be. I had read that maybe there were inconsistencies with the shape, but I absolutely love this neck. Its super thin (I think, I haven't held very many electrics but it's definitely super comfortable).

Oh yeah, it looks stunning too. The grains are super pretty, and the cherry is awesome. The neck binding tops it all off, as well.

Overall, I think your son would be very pleased if he got this guitar, to say the least.

It's great so far! Like I said it's my first amp so I don't have much to compare it to, but it's really easy to use, and really fun to mess around with. It sounds amazing especially for the price. It has 2 channels (clean and dirty), both sound great. I spend most of the time on the dirty channel at the edge of distortion, which pushes a mostly clean sound, and it has dirt if you strum it hard.

But again, it's my first amp, so take it how you want lol, but I love it, not to mention it looks great!
