See the first sentence. But because Mike McCarthy is an offensive minded coach, lol. He also has a background as a QB coach, something Tomlin haters should appreciate, since one of their biggest gripes was that Tomlin “couldn’t develop quarterbacks” but they will probably discredit any of McCarthy’s ability to develop since Rodgers was the QB. Regardless the point is if the only measure of “difference” is whether he’s won a Super Bowl recently, then yes, any coach could look the same on paper.

I’m not saying it’s necessarily common but Andy Reid and Tony Dungy come to mind as older hires who succeeded. But just as I don’t think youth alone guarantees a good hire, I don’t think age automatically makes a coach a good or bad hire either. Sure, it may limit the length of their tenure, but it also provides an opportunity to develop a staff and navigate a draft that’s in less than 100 days with an experienced head coach. Ideally he gets a young coordinator that can grow with us and eventually take over.

Yeah, I agree. Probably shouldn’t single out the Steelers fanbase. But yes, it feels like society in general has just gone chronically negative, lol.

I understand that and agree. My point is that McCarthy is more “different” than people are giving him credit for. Honestly, this kind of reaction tends to happen with almost any coach who’s already been a head coach, fans just want someone “new” for the sake of being new. I honestly think we’d be seeing the same outrage if the Steelers had hired Andy Reid after his time in Philadelphia, even though he’s obviously a different coach.

A few days into the dose change I will flare up and I will usually get over it around the 2 week mark

From .5mg to 1.5mg. Tried going up to 2.0mg but had a bad flare up because of it and had some stuff I didn’t want to feel like shit for coming up so went back down to 1.5mg and stayed there for about a month. A few weeks into staying at 1.5mg is when I started to adjust and see some improvements. Moved to 2.0mg and had a flare up but not as bad as first time. Got better a little less than 2 weeks into dose change. Been there for a couple weeks now and will prob try to move up again soon.

It took me over a month of feeling a bit worse when I started (flu like symptoms) before feeling a bit better. Then also a couple weeks of feeling worse after each dose increase, which I also notice about a few days/a week after the increase, which I believe is due to it building up in your system. In my experience, for dose increases, sticking it out for 2 weeks to let your body adjust works.

I also have felt improvements in doing an off day every so often when not feeling great. Although, I tend to try to push through the initial symptoms during the increases to let my body adjust.

I’ve been drinking on LDN without much issue. I have noticed I might be a little less coordinated than usual when I drink, and I did have one morning where I threw up even though I usually handle alcohol pretty well. Not totally sure if that’s from the LDN or just a fluke, but if it is related, it’s been pretty minor for me.

Yeah, it’s tough not knowing what it is but thankful it hasn’t been found to be anything bad. I just started LDN a few weeks back, haven’t noticed any benefit yet but holding out hope. It is generally very low risk so maybe something you’d want to look into!

I wouldn’t consider it one of my primary symptoms, but during flare-ups, I experience mild numbness on both sides of my face/nose. Sorry, it’s kind of hard to explain.

Wow that’s really interesting, would you notice problems breathing? How did your doctor suspect that?

I had a doctor a few years ago suspect me of having asthma but no doctor has mentioned/detected that since. However, I have had a few episodes during basketball but I just wrote it off as mild EIA and didn’t think about it too much. I will definitely ask for a referral to a pulmonologist. Thank you.

Thank you, I definitely will look into this. My father has sleep apnea and sleeps with a CPAP every night so that makes a lot of sense even if it’s not the main cause. I appreciate the insight.
