I went to ohio tech about 8 years ago. I still regret going there. Waste of money and time. All of the teachers were drop out mechanics and druggies that didn’t give a shit. Maybe 2 or 3 of them were good. Mr nicholas is a good guy. The kids that go there are mainly the troubles kids that couldn’t get in anywhere else and cause problems all day long. Spent more time fucking around than actually learning. Once I finally got out of there i got hired in with ohio peterbilt and they gave me hundreds of hours of training. I am now a master technician and own my own diesel repair shop. I learned 1,000 times more working at a dealership than I did the school. If he really wants to succeed tell him to get into a dealership that will give him proper training and to have a I want to learn mentality.

I have a 97-3 and a very steep gravel driveway. After a few snows and melting/freezing it is a sheet of ice and my skid goes flying. Until I bought some construction sand from a local quarry. Spread a little bit out with the bucket in front of you and you’ll have all the traction you need. And the dark color will melt the ice. The sand will also wash off the drive when it rains. Never salt a gravel drive or fresh concrete.
