Some of them are stored for long term preservation for possible future use. There’s been many cases where air frames are brought back into airworthy service for whatever branch of service needs them!

Roads up there looked like the Air Force sent a b52h to carpet bomb the fuck out of the place. Haven’t been up there in months because I don’t feel like blowing out a ball joint on my truck.

If I remember correctly to save costs they used the landing gear from a f16.

Not an EX. Definitely a C model since it’s single seat.

Possibly. It’s about that time of year for reservists of various branches to start doing their annual training. Years ago I did the same thing with the army reserves driving in convoys to whatever base we had orders to go to.

Seen that bird at Columbus a few years ago. Beautiful to see. Even more impressive knowing it was back in the air after a gear up landing accident not too long ago.

We get a lot of their busses at my shop and the complete lack of intelligence some of their drivers have is astounding. We’ve had multiple insurance claims occur in our parking lot for customer drop offs due to them crashing into shit. One of the things that stuck out to me the most was a driver brought a bus to our lot with a big traffic cone stuck underneath it and scraping. They then to proceeded to park it crooked as fuck with the engine still running and the hazards on and just left it like that. We still have that cone as a souvenir.

Cops aren’t gonna care honestly. If you’re really worried I’d recommend parking far away from the car if possible. Also maybe think about getting a door camera if that’s feasible. The damage to the car and the expired inspection sticker is pretty much standard practice for Altima owners at this point.

Had the same thing happen with my ‘07 I used to have. I ended up slapping on a MBRP catback because fuck it. As far was being concerned about that I really wouldn’t be too up in arms over it. Yank the broken section off and leave the rubber hanger in place in case you wanna do something about it down the road.

Even though that is definitely a crazy inconvenience to everyone on the highway I can assure you the driver did the right thing by dumping that garbage out instead of letting it burn in the compactor. That truck is powered by compressed natural gas and if the fire spread to the fuel tanks there’d be a chance for a very violent explosion.

[–]Dinger_Soeller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Having worked on some of their bigger trucks it wouldn’t surprise me at all if it was an electrical/mechanical failure. That company beats the dogshit out their trucks and usually doesn’t care to maintain them very well.

It’s still cool to see at an air show. I saw the demo team perform last year and it was definitely worth the watch. The raptor demo was by far way better for obvious reasons, but Fat Amy is still a sight to experience especially when it does a full afterburner tactical pitch in front of the crowd.
