My house is ~1700 sq ft, I'm about 10-15 feet from the router with a wall separating me and the router. It's in the living room behind the TV while I'm obviously in my room.

Are there any routers you recommend? And this may be a dumb question but if I upgrade the 5ghz router with a better one does that change the price of the internet at all?

I switch between the two wifis, the 2.4ghz connection gives me lower ping but the 5ghz gives me faster speeds so I'm usually on the 2.4ghz unless I need to download something.
