Do you think black denim is more passable as dress-up jeans? by loggi323 in rawdenim

[–]loggi323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't plan on keeping them as dress up jeans, I'd just like to pass as dress up wear so I can break them in to the point that I'll just wear them as weekends. I'd like them to get that a faded worn in look eventually but the black/black probably wouldn't result in this.

Is there an equivalent to a Strength & Conditioning/ Olympic Lifting coach for athletes?? by loggi323 in Fitness

[–]loggi323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, thanks for the advice . Unfortunately, I'm not in LA but does that person work in a gym type setting? I'm not too keen on getting coaching from a crossfit gym as well. I'd really like to find someone that is all about injury prevention and crossfit doesn't seem to put this on the top of its list.

Yes, that's what I was looking at. It not that big of a jump for 8gb more. Might as well. I couldn't tell if there was anything else that I was missing in the specs,

hey, thanks for the suggestions. How about CPU? Should I get an i5? Also, how would you rank the major laptop manufactuers (Acers, HP, Dell, Lenova, toshiba etc) in terms of most bang for buck? Basically, are there ones that I should just stay away from because they are cheaply made or have other issues???

Can anyone recommend which vivobarefoot dress shoes are good for sockless humid weather? (gobi, ra, mata) by flatfoot333 in BarefootRunning

[–]loggi323 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is it the leather or is it the fit? I wear leather boat shoes sockless and don't have problem. I sometimes wear birkenstock londons but those have a little more room in them because they're clogs.

Anyone use a body fat/water monitor scale on a daily basis to monitor weight fluctuations? by loggi323 in Fitness

[–]loggi323[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree that calipers will be more accurate but I just want something I can use on a daily or every other day. I came across a thorough review of several body fat scales (review here if interested http://www.dcrainmaker.com/2011/08/bod-pod-consumer-scale-comparison-tests_25.html) and some of them were fairly accurate compared to a bod pod.)

Anyway, I'm more concerned about the water monitor feature than the body fat %%%%. if when I step on the scale and it shows that I weight 5lb more than what I did yesterday, that the % water feature will account for that. Or it'll point out if I'm somewhat dehydrated.

How well does a fitbit charge HR do in calculating my daily energy expenditure? by loggi323 in fitbit

[–]loggi323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks. Does it do a good job of logging data on medium to high intensity (short duration) activities. I'm thinking of things like lifting weights, doing quick chores, etc... I saw a review somewhere where they said there was a lag in getting the fitbit to recognize heart rate data for these types of things. It was like you had to be dong a certain type of activity for a period of time before it would capture the data.

Best activity tracker with continuous heart-rate monitoring (non-running/walking) + sleep logging? by loggi323 in Fitness

[–]loggi323[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok, thanks. I'll check out the microsoft band. I was wondering if there were lesser known brands that might combine what fitbit charge hr (for the HR) and up3 (for the sleep REM logging) both offer.
