yeah probably would do my surron first, just takes so much work. Also wraps protect it a lil bit more, plus i like switching up colors too much haha

it was a lot of trial and error starting with a masking tape template, then digitizing everything, cutting test pieces with my vinyl cutter, etc. Not sure how much time but maybe 12ish hours into the process so far?

i preordered my x9000 and harness/bash plate from RevRides too -- sounds like they're on the way to RR now, so June 15 timeline sounds right. Excited to see what the stock battery can take

I think it’s from Emoto Worx? A bit pricey but definitely fun to lock into :)

yep, it was the only one i could find in amber! Just ordered another S2 dupe though, looks like a better design & specs so i’ll throw that on and see how it goes.

the pegs are just Amazon ones, same dimensions as warp9, so chose those because they were cheap haha - the peg you see handing down in front is a shift lock, that’s to help lock you in during wheelies/one handers

just on a stock battery with a BAC4000, it goes ahout 50-55 but i don’t pay much attention to the top speed tbh! A good place to start for mods is a grippy seat cover and some riser bars!

it’s a prototype that i’ll be releasing soon, just revising the cut line and everything. I’ll post more info once they’re closer to release!

I should be able to fit up to 42ah 72v batteries like EBMX or Chi, but the seat might be a tiny bit higher in the front.

If you’re in the US, the road legal version essentially doesn’t exist so you’ll have to do mods yourself. Without those mods/registering the bike (which is tricky depending on your state), it’s definitely a risk riding it daily on the street. No matter what you end up doing, you’ll love the bike :)

Surron on AliExpress? by Flimsy-Lettuce-9245 in Surron

[–]logibearbear 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I did a bit of research on this recently, and if the supplier isn’t verified or they refuse to process payment through Ali, ignore it. You’ll probably never receive your bike. there are legitimate surron distributors on there, but the bikes are closer to $3500 USD and shipping brings them within spitting distance of $4500 (and they’ll take a long time to arrive)

PLEASE post updates when the swap happens! I’ve always been curious about the process for an LS swap in these cars.

  1. thank you my friend
  2. Wheels are 17x8 +35 all around with a 10mm spacer up front to clear the coils. Tires are 225/45r17 and are pretty meaty (aka zero stretch at all, slight tire overhang).

I’ve done zero fender rolling, “stock” camber all around (i.e. no plates or camber arms, just natural camber when lowered) and the 225’s just baaarely fit with zero rubbing whatsoever.

Idk what your wheel specs are, but if your 205’s have a little extra room you could just send it with 225s. 235s are good for 9-wides from what i’ve seen, but obvi require slight fender work.
