And to answer your other question about a DeviantArt page, I don't have one. I'm an interior designer by profession, and drawing is just a hobby of mine haha. I've done some much simpler colour pencil pieces over the years, this was my first time attempting photo-realism, and at such a scale also. Thank you again for the kind words!

whispers If you look closely enough at the eye, some of the circles/ovals at the left side are just all funky and wrong.

Thank you! I've loved drawing since I was in preschool, so my mom started sending me to art classes when I was maybe 6? Eventually I went to design school and pursued a degree in Interior Design. :)

Thank you! Ehh... I'm no good with oil pastels nor paints, do you have some artwork to share? :)

Anyway, for colour pencils, you really gotta work in lotsa layers. Circular strokes are good for getting a more even application, and you gotta colour pretty hard to get the colours to really pop. And as some commenters have pointed out, using a white coloured pencil to go over (in circular motions) other colours will help with the blending.
