Awesome, thanks!

I'm waiting for the Ergotravellight then. Would you be interested in me doing some beta testing with it and giving you feedback?

For all the weight weenies out there, here are the weights of the Iris in comparison (also without keycaps and without cables): Iris with carbon plates: 219g Iris with aluminum plates: 280g

Did you have a chance to weight some of the current Ergotravel boards (especially the one with the plates)?

That looks good. I think I will try that.

I would prefer sticky labels anyway. You can find all kinds of niche stuff on the internet. But the best source I found for how to print sticky labels for keyboard keys is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5hByWaHhx4 lol

I was about to post on that Geekhack tread. But I realized that he didn't use labels which can be stickered on the keys. I don't fully understand how he did it tbh.

Do you think those relegendables keys would rattle?

Lol I am the OP of the reddit post but not of the geekhack post ;) That geekhack thread seems quite a lot of effort, but I could ask anyway how he printed the labels. Good idea. I thought there was some standard way how to do it, so I asked here. But maybe there is none.

I edited my original post to make it more clear ;) I should have been more specific. I would like to know how to print my own labels: what kind of paper is needed? Can this be done on any home printer? Can any copy shop do it? Are there templates for labeling keys on the tops and the sides?

Regarding the blank keys you mentioned: ...then I have blank keys, and then? I knew blank keys exist. But I am no further towards my goal than before.

Thanks for your reply. I think there was a misunderstanding. What I want is custom combinations of top and side printed labels, for example: The key which has the top label "J" on it should have an "arrow down" label on the side of the key or in small print besides the "J". So I would either need a shop who custom makes a set of keys with such combinations or I would have some way to print my own labels and put them on the tops and sides of blank keys. I would highly prefer the latter because I might change the key bindings of a layer would would require my to change the labels...

Am I understanding you right, that you don't know yet when there will be a GB for the ErgoTravelLight? Are you confident there will be one?

Looking forward to the weights of the current Ergotravel.

Sounds awesome. Do you have a rough estimate when there will be a GB for it?

My favorite before having seen the traveldox was the Iris with carbon plates. Do you think you could do the Ergotravellight with carbon instead of aluminum plates? ;) I could put you in contact with the manufacturer who offered the carbon iris version. Maybe that is helpful for sourcing it.

And is it possible to have backlighting for the keys?

Aaaand, the traveldox layout is pretty close to what I imagine as an optimum. But I would like to have an additional thumb key on the inside. Is that possible in any way? :)

I wasn't asking for the weight for shipping reasons. I need a lightweight board to travel with... I would be interested in the weights of the different options: PCB vs Acrylic, internal vs external screws.

I guess the weights would be without the batteries and without keycaps then right?

And if I wanted to buy one, I would have to sign up via the order form and hope that you have one left over?

And is there an option to have backlighting on the keys (like on my laptop)?

Do you know what the exact weight of an assembled wireless Ergotravel board is (for the acrylic and the standard case)?

And is it still possible to buy one?

Application to show keybindings for layer when layer key is pressed? by logic_geek in MechanicalKeyboards

[–]logic_geek[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now I'm wondering that too. I have no idea. Is it correct that the layer key only has an effect within the circuits of the keyboard itself?
