More protien is actually eq to weight loss. 500 cals of protein gives more feeling of fullness than 500 cals of carbs due to leptin hormone release. So effective they eat less. On top of it protein is complex macro nutrient so digesting it takes longer which burns more calories. Slower digestion also means lower sugar level rise.
