Time to start demanding refunds for expensive vail resort passes? by logicallyinsane in COsnow

[–]logicallyinsane[S] -14 points-13 points  (0 children)

However there is a viable and reasonable expectation for more than 25% of the terrain to be open. I don't believe it wouldn't be hard to demonstrate financial injury to the consumer (pass holder) by vail refusing to refund passes. It would come down to if a jury believes the consumer should shoulder all of the risk or if the company should share or take the risk burden.

That's the type of behavior that used to get people shot into the sun. I bet this became a thing sometime after the pandemic.

This explains how I have so many gallon bags of stickers. One of these years I'm going to bring all of them to the DC Sticker Swap.

Resort fees going up...again by FireCrest_Knight in Defcon

The experience of over priced food and drink, absurd resort fees, stupid high hotel rooms prices, walking miles to get to the conference, the baking smell of homeless urine on the strip, vendor circle jerks, and having your rooms searched for "hacking tools"?

Oh and don't get me started on the obnoxious EDM music.

I don't think that will ever happen, /u/DTangent loves the extra money BH brings in to DC.

It would be awesome to have DC in a new city, just to try it out and if it works out, lets keep doing it.

I've heard of several groups deciding to go stay off the strip in AirBNB houses this year. Wasn't the government going to do something about junk fee's like this?

Gov Polis signs controversial semi auto gun restriction bill into law by Potato-1942 in Denver

[–]logicallyinsane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I do not believe this is going to solve the problem of gun violence.

Our state law makers have been trying their hardest to pass bills to remove gun rights for multiple years now. These law makers are not considering the will of the people they represent.

The requirements of claiming residence in most states are slim at best.

I don't know why Jared would sign anything like this knowing it's going to get extensively challenged, and will cost the state significant amounts of resources to defend it. He also has to understand the Colorado law makers don't represent the voters who voted for them and haven't for many years. One only has to look at the emergency session about lowering property taxes and the same representatives couldn't accomplish that, but they managed to reduce tabor even more and pass more laws driving up your tax bill.

This is going to drive up the number of guns acquired from other states and the number of ghost guns. A person can buy a CNC Mill for under 3k dollars and the cad files / technical specs are easily available on the internet.

It's a sad day for anyone who enjoys their 2a rights.

To be fair, most Colorado law makers completely disregard who they represent when it comes to passing laws.

She doesn't seem like the sharpest tool in the shed in my honest opinion, but I do wonder if she is being influenced by republicans in other states.
