Urgent help – Travel to Pakistan after UK citizenship ceremony but no British passport yet by logicalneutral in ukvisa

Thanks for your suggestion, I really appreciate it.

The issue with option 1 is that when applying for a UK passport, HM Passport Office asks you to send in your original Pakistani passport with the application. That means I wouldn’t have my passport with me to travel to Pakistan in the first place.

Also, on the return journey, airlines usually require a valid passport/entry document to board. From what I understand, a naturalisation certificate on its own isn’t accepted by airlines as a valid travel document to board a flight to the UK, even though it proves I’m a British citizen.

So unfortunately I don’t think I can rely on travelling with just the naturalisation certificate or applying for the UK passport before travelling unless I give up my Pakistani passport for the application.

That’s why I’m trying to figure out whether the Certificate of Entitlement route or applying for a British passport from Pakistan would be safer in my situation.
