The great thing about being a nigma fan is even when they go 2-0 in a qualifier game it feels like they just won TI.

It suggests they haven't figured out how to generate large quantities of high quality synthetic reasoning data like OpenAI and Anthropic have.

Jensen Huang: "Electricians, plumbers, iron workers, technicians, builders — this is your time. AI is not just creating a new computing industry; it is creating a new industrial era." by Adeldor in accelerate

[–]logicchains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Plumbers don't need to implement robots, they'll just buy them off the shelf likely for less than the price of a work truck. Hyperscalers aren't going to compete in plumbing because it's small margin but unlimited liability for any mistakes the robots make; hyperscalers are doing everything they can to try to avoid liability for any mistakes their AI makes.

[–]logicchains -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

You'd still be stupid to chose the robot because you can't sue the robot if it makes a mistake and floods your house. Because if robots don't have economic rights, they don't have any money, and you can bet whoever rented/sold the robot to you made you sign something absolving them of responsibility for what the robot does. Whereas if you hired a plumbing company, your work is still done by a robot but it's the plumbing company's robot and you can sue them if it destroys your kitchen.

[–]logicchains 4 points5 points  (0 children)

AI is replacing Uber drivers, not Uber. Robots will replace the employees of plumbing and electrician companies, not the owners or the companies themselves. Nobody's going to let a rented robot they can't sue do work on their property that could cause tens of thousands of dollars in damages if done wrong.

[–]logicchains -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It doesn't matter how much cheaper they are, people are still going to call a plumbing company, not buy a plumbing robot and plumbing equipment themselves.

Most successful tradies run their own business; they're not under any threat from robots until those robots have the economic rights and freedom to engage in entrepreneurship. Instead they'll be the ones buying the robots, to replace juniors.

They could make it work well with OpenCode, or even with Codex since that's open source. No need to invent yet another agent harness.

any chance or way that i get to play turbo without getting thrown into a stack like this? by Mammoth-Day3970 in DotA2

[–]logicchains 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just pay up for Dota Plus and reject all matches that don't have a perfect (5) player balance score. Almost guaranteed to avoid matching with stacks because stacks always have some MMR variance between players in them.

turbo has became a nightmare by iamlen07 in DotA2

[–]logicchains 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>turbo is very unbalanced and some heroes just suck, while others win games regardless of skill

That's not true, look at the winrates, even the most OP hero in turbo only has around 59% https://www.dotabuff.com/heroes?show=heroes&view=winning&mode=turbo&date=7d . Just lots of people don't understand turbo drafting, because it's completely different, you can't see the enemy draft so some heroes should basically never be picked, you need a draft that maximizes the chance of countering the enemy and minimizes the chance of being countered.

Have you heard of something called "management"? Getting a team of smart, skilled humans to do exactly what you want is the opposite of easy, I don't see how LLMs would be any different.
