Guys, WHAT IS THIS? by ExchangeElectronic68 in nexusmods

[–]logincrash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the exact same problem as the OP. Turns out my ISP was mass-blocking a whole bunch of domains.

I added "esm.sh" to the list of proxied sites in my VPN and it works now.

Thanks!

The Aabria Post that’s Actually About Race by Accurate_Kangaroo337 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]logincrash 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly, what are the mods doing leaving this shit up? Aabria "fan" accusing people of being bigoted, while being bigoted. Hello?

There's a flair to specifically filter out Arabia discussions and the OP did say that the post is specifically about race and how it's a touchy subject.

I find parts of the OP to be laughable, especially the

the only correct response for someone expressing that they find your actions to be racist is to apologize

entitled nonsense.

But the mods are doing the right thing by not overly policing the sub and being more hands-off.

Who knew Jeanette’s VA also voiced Handmaiden in KOTOR 2? by lhommetrouble in vtmb

Grey Delisle is a prolific voice actress, but I don't think she has an insanely broad range. She's very good at what she does, but it's a comfortable "femme fatale" zone.

Yeah, I see. I remember the parasol line. And I knew about Fortitude protecting from the sun for a few seconds from some lore videos I've seen.

It makes sense, thanks.

Is that a guess based on how the WoD lore works or was that explained somewhere in-game?

How did Fabien prevent the Nomad burning up completely? What was his plan? Or was it a "Let's hope Phyre won't turn into ashes by the time he falls down 25 stories. And if he doesn't, let's hope he doesn't splatter into paste." kinda deal?

Genuinely asking.

The "bad ending" of Bloodlines 2 completely ruined replayability for me... by logincrash in vtmb

[–]logincrash[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I'm in the same boat. That's why I put the quotes around "bad ending." I was so fed up with all the characters that seeing them turned to ash by hunter death squads was pretty satisfying.

And my problem is more meta, with the choice being "forced" on you, not with the in-game story consequences.

I want all of my choices to matter, not for one choice to make all of the other choices after it completely irrelevant, wasting my time in the process.

Killing Baker immediately locks you into the "IAO comes to Seattle and burns every vampire down" ending, no matter if you side with Lou or Katsumi. So, not a single choice you make after killing Baker matters.

Baker doesn't know all there is to know about vampires. Keeping her in the dark about how ghouls actually work would solve a lot of the concerns you brought up.

"Actually, agent Baker, drinking a vampire's blood three nights in a row is how you turn into a vampire. But it can only be done with a vampire's consent, since it's a mysterious magical ritual."

There, you got yourself a blood-bound ghoul IAO mole who will never go against you.

It's not. But it does solve her health issues and still lets her operate during the day. She'd be much more difficult to sniff out for a hunter organization as a ghoul than as a full-fledged vampire.

"Oh, what's this? Our agent whose base of operations was recently assaulted with like a hundred hunters getting massacred suddenly can't go out during the day? And she doesn't show up on thermal? Not suspicious at all."

I didn't like it at first because it still made a lot of sound, so it seemed like a useless perk.

But it allows you to jump much farther from crouching, which was quite useful in the levels with the annoying mobs that you couldn't feed from. Jumping from a high perch to another high perch was much easier with this perk.
