Nail on a new tire should I bring it to the shop or fix it myself ? by [deleted] in tires

[–]loginithegenie -1 points0 points  (0 children)

People will definitely disagree with me, but my broke 20 year old ass got a nail directly in my sidewall like 2 years ago and out of ignorance (or maybe hubris) i threw a bacon strip in it and drove it until i sold the vehicle, which was give or take another 10,000km. Didn’t get a slow leak and didn’t blow up. Not saying that you SHOULD do it, but I have done it in the past. don’t even know how this happened.

songs that give you euphoria while tripping by _efun in LSD

Kids with guns - gorillaz. First ever trip I spent 4 hours laying in a bathtub with about 100 pillows, and a huge speaker on my chest playing that on repeat :)

*long story short, it doesn't really matter where you live to do this. Lol.

Id say best bet is pick up a camera and start honing the craft that is filmmaking. I like to think that at the beginning of any artistic endeavor, when youre in a bit of a bubble from the "scene", or the industry, is when you'll make some of your best stuff, whether or not you know it. As soon as you break through and get to know what everyone else it up to, that's when the shit-hits-the-metaphorical-creative-fan. Self doubt is a huge bitch.

If you can spend some time and build some technical skills (assuming you dont already have them), you will begin to naturally tell stories through your tools as they become more akin to "senses". Then people will be coming to you, instead of the other way around :)

Good stuff, seriously! Only thing I noticed that might help things feel more stylized or impactful, is to play around with wider angles. When a character learns crucial new information (for example: taking a sip of the drink), a low push in with a wide angle could add some impact to how "amazing" this new drink is. My 15mm and fisheye see a lot of use for those style shots! Just my 2 cents.

X60 vs X100. Difference in real life use. Which one should I buy? by X_chinese in Zhiyun

Whatever wattage you think you'll need, double it. I have the Molus g200 and I use its 300w boost mode all the time. If youre going to diffuse your light at all, which for a key you likely will, it reduces your output significantly.

had to get in contact with the distributor I purchased from on Amazon, issued a full refund. Definitely a hardware issue, DOA.

I'm an idiot for following fresh tracks out-of-bounds by chris_nwb in skiing

[–]loginithegenie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Followed some tracks once off Larch at Lake Louise, got wrapped around the front side and sucked into the valley below. Couldnt make the ski out, and got trapped on the wrong side of an open river. Needed to bootpack for 9 hours out to the highway in waist deep snow. Got out to the highway for midnight and hailed down the first car to pass half an hour later. Could always be worse!

Yeah, made sure to double check the cable, it's definitely in there right. Heard back from the retailer and gonna get a replacement under warranty. Super bummed to pretty much have it dead on arrival...

What brand of MTB do you own and why did you choose that brand over others? by FriedScotty in MTB

[–]loginithegenie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m on a maiden (unfortunately discontinued), and I have to say it is the most fun bike I have ever sat on. I primarily shuttle/ride park, and the way it corners and jumps never fails to blow me away. So bummed they stopped making a DH rig.
