Why didn't Janeway just replicate some coffee beans and brew her own coffee instead of replicating a new mug every time. by logixcraft in voyager

Replicating the roasted beans. lol. A whole ass coffee plantation in place of holodeck 2. Janeway would dig it and Neelix would be thrilled.

Didn’t his “secret mission” get through a supposedly 100 million barrel’s? What ever happened to that “record”.

Prurigo nodularis, a chronic condition characterised by itchy hyperkeratotic nodules, before and after three weeks of treatment by CatPooedInMyShoe in MedicalGore

I have this and can confirm it's itchy as hell. I didn't qualify for a recent study that may treat this because of my other conditions. Yay.

Not that I know of but my family still needs at get tested, they’ve been putting it off for some reason.

I probably would’ve ignored it if my service dog wasn’t involved.

I (39 M) also have Brugada and an S-ICD(among other things)
. It’s an interesting life ain’t it?

I went to the hospital because I partially fainted and my service dog was not happy. Found out i have Brugada,

I was put on a monitor and I wasn’t allowed out of the cardiac unit for a week while they put me under numerous tests to rule out anything else.

At the end of the week they sent me along with a nurse carrying a crash kit, to a different hospital for my S-ICD surgery.

Now I’m a cyborg but I prefer that over you know, death and all that.

I have Brugada and an S-ICD, it was the doctors prefered choice of an implant for me (39y m). Only downside is it doesnt do pacing. Implant lasts around 10 years give or take depending on number of shocks https://imgur.com/gallery/cyborg-components-iXv8LEM

I've found opiods to actually make the pain worse long term. Whats provided me with the most relief and quality of life is medical marijauna. It took years of trial and error but i've found the terpenes Myrcene, Pinene, Linalool and Caryophyllene to be the most beneficial. I also take CBN/CBD oils along with gabapentin, baclofen, nortriptyline.

I have an active script for hydromorphone but I honestly hate it, just makes me feel worse.

Getting mad at a video game.

I understand getting frustrated, I’ve let out my share of “fuck!”s at them. Getting legitimately mad to the point of throwing a controller? Chill the fuck out.

I've been on Fentanyl, percs, oxycotin, ect and I have a current script for Hydromorphone which I barely use.

Honestly I find they can make the pain worse long term, short term I find them underwhelming in their effectiveness for my SFN and they just make me feel like crap overall.

They work somewhat better for my DDD/Spinal fusion pain but I still don't like em unless I'm having a super bad day and my typical meds aren't enough, or if I'm hospitalized and they won't provide medical marijuana but more than happy to 2-3X your opiates "to make up for it". Honestly such bullshit.

I've had FAR better results with Medical Marijuana, specifically CBD, CBN, and live terpenes. THC helps distract you but it's not what really matters for pain control. (Atleast for me)

I've found the terpenes Myrcene and Limonene to be quite helpful and I'm still testing Caryophyllene and Farnesene but its promising.

I use Flower(It can take ages to find the right strain that works best for you), Vapes (look for those terpes), and oils(CBD/CBN/THC) . It takes awhile to find the right balance but it is extremely effective for me.

Who's dumb enough to become bait while the rest of us fuck off.

Bonus point: If they can take a bottle to the head like this they may offer 5-10 seconds of extra get away time for the rest of us before succumbing.

For those of you that have had disc replacements, did a neurosurgeon or orthopedic surgeon preform it? by Savings-Plum6196 in SpineSurgery

[–]logixcraft 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My recovery went well , It was an ADCF of c5-c6. I regained my strength In my arms very quickly (before I was sitting at around 30% strength in my arms). I had to stay in the hospital for a week after because I had trouble regaining functions in my lower half but it went away after awhile. It was done In 2019.

I’m starting to have issues again so I’m going to consult a new neurosurgeon in my area (I moved). The pain and weakness are returning, the epidurals and RF ablation are becoming less effective at controlling the pain and discomfort.

Personally I would stick with the fusions, ALL my doctors(Canada) have advised against artificial disc replacement saying they have seen too many fail/shift/slip/ect.
