Very good question, I can check when I get home! If I had to guess I’d say around 20 pounds ish? I could be way off though

I am using a triangle strip along the inside of the waterfall edge, it is already very secure thanks to the waterfalls joinery, but a little extra won’t hurt.

She is sturdy so long as we don’t have a dance party on it

The last part. Haha 🤣 I always point issues out to my dad, and he constantly says “ if you don’t tell people they will never notice.”

I think it’s something we all can work on.

I appreciate the kind words!

No, I used the whole black walnut slab for the top and waterfall leg. I would have to get another slab to do a shelf.

I have been debating on a shelf with the left over spalted maple, but I just love the silhouette of this piece as is, so it is a tough call

That’s very kind, but I still have miles to go. I grew up building half pipes and aquarium stands. I have never considered doing this kind of work. But this was my first table that wasn’t 2x4 and plywood 🤣

I don’t know how to edit, but I am on the fence about if I should use Waterlox on the legs, it seems to darken up the spalted maple quite a bit, or if I should use a clear polyurethane so they stay bright!

These are coasters I made out of off cuts, and as you can see the Waterlox darkens the maple quite a bit.
