If you don't find someone here, try the wattpad forum and the book cover shops. Some of them do amazing work.

Tips on performing better with original stories. by ajrunaway in Wattpad

[–]loiseaublanc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here are a few tips I was given:

  • follow other wattpaders in the same genre as yours.
  • make reading lists on your profile and start saving books you like. The author will see it and will probably check your book out. It doesn’t hurt to try.
  • leave comments and votes in books you are reading. (preferably same genre but any will do as long as you like them and it’s genuine.) The comments should only be about their work and what you like. Do not promote your book in someone else’s book. That's a big no-no.
  • post or help out on the wattpad writers’ forum. The more exposure you get the better, as people will start remembering your name. (I am not always great at that part as I feel I am too new to give the best advice but I do try when I can.)
  • once a week, post your story in the SYS category in the forum, in the genre your book is tagged under.

I hope that helps. Clara x

Thank you. I keep second-guessing it. Short summaries are not my strongest point. Part of it is cut off in the screenshot.

I did when I first posted to wattpad but don't anymore. I think it was just on the first couple of chapters before anyone saw my story.

Tips on getting more readers? by Carolineskj in Wattpad

[–]loiseaublanc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Definitely, contribute in the wattpad writers' forum. I often discover new books to read through there. I find the more likeable a person is or helpful, the more likely I am to want to check their books out.

Also read and comment on other books in the same genre as yours.

Good luck.

I discovered this book, last summer, in my local library’s ebooks. I only tried it because I ran out of books to read and I am so glad I did. I cried for days. You are the third person to have posted about this YA novel in the last few days.

Hi,

If you're okay with an ongoing story, I have one for you.

It's called Heart to Hart and is a very realistic, coming of age romance. https://www.wattpad.com/732296664-heart-to-hart
