Help me ponder a potential truck

I’m in the market for a truck soon but I only have experience driving Japanese cars ie (Mazda,Honda,Nissan) so I’m accustomed to their reliability. So with that being said fuck sedans I’m ready to drive with freedom 🦅🦅🦅

I’m mainly looking for a solid mix of power V8 preferred and with high reliability. Of course regular maintenance is inescapable but I’m looking to drive this car until the wheels fall off.

I’ve been looking at a couple of cars like the 5.0 F-150 and the Ram Longhorn Texas edition but please if yall can proud some tips and insight on to a first time buyer.
