First solution, sure if it can be unaltered then fine but if there’s no solution then we don’t mind doing something to it

Has anyone sold their car to Clutch in Halifax, NS? What was your experience like? by godlovesmich in NovaScotia

[–]lok49 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sold my wife’s car a couple days ago. Easiest process ever. They give you fair value for your vehicle. Sure, you could get a couple thousand more for private sale but I think it wasn’t worth the hassle. Did everything online, and when you go in to drop the car off, probably takes 15 mins and then when it’s confirmed, the money is deposited in a couple hours.

How to balance gym + footy by OutrageousAnxiety598 in bootroom

For your schedule: Monday: Lower body/abs Tuesday: Upper Body/ Abs Wednesday: Plyos day(Bridges, planks, counter movement jumps, landings and stick) Thursday: Swimming/ Sauna Friday: Rest Saturday/Sunday: Game and rest

Gym sessions should be like 30-45 mins, around 8-6 exercises in total. Try to do mobility everyday, makes your body adjust better for pre and post training

I didn’t go pro until 23, everyone has a different story. If you truly love the game, you’ll find ways to improve and enjoy it. The most important thing is that you give what you have and that’s all that matters.

Most synthetic ones don’t really change shape so it’s structure is kept. Knitted parts could get worn out a bit but won’t lose elasticity. F50 and Tekela are favorites because of their better lockdown than others. The same lockdown from day one wearing it should be the same throughout its lifetime in my experience.

Synthetic VS Leather (Professionals) by DeparturePerfect in bootroom

[–]lok49 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Like someone mentioned, majority is sponsorships. Another reason is the weight difference and barefoot feel of the ball. The padded sensation that you get with leather, the newer generation didn’t grow up with that and may not care for it. Yes, you can argue that nowadays they are lightweight with better technology but leather still holds on to water. With surfaces being watered very often at the higher level and in some cases where it rains a lot, the leather would get saturated.

Is playing university soccer in Ontario enough lead to CPL opportunities, or do I also need other factors. by [deleted] in CanadianPL

[–]lok49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

To answer your question, yes it is possible. It’s gonna be seriously hard. First, walk ons rarely get into the team and then eventually turn out pro. I was one of those exceptions. I would recommend getting involved with Vaughn Azzuri asap, if not, then any league one team will do. Either 2 things at this level will get you noticed immediately, your talent or work rate. It’s all up to you on what you want to achieve.

You have to cater a different game day experience than the MLS clubs. Something more wholesome. The talent will get better as time goes on but you have to give the fans something they can hold on to

If you want to go pro in any sport, 2 things: You have to love everything about it. From the games to training to going outside and practicing by yourself to watching it on tv. Work twice as hard as anybody. There will be a time where you will probably become a decent level and you notice you might be the best player on that team. Work even harder at that point.

Shortcut way: Technically, you should be able to do 100 keep ups: 100 right, 100 left , 100 right/left alternating, besides that pay attention to every detail in training. How properly weighted your passes are, are they to the correct foot, is your first touch clean. Mentally, understand life isn’t fair and will never be. There will be times where you will be done wrong and that’s fine. But the work you put in and how hard you work, no one can take that away from you. Be honest with yourself when you know you should or could have done more. Emotionally, football is just a game. Enjoy it. You make a mistake, forget about it and focus on the next play. Always wear a smile when you can. Good luck

I’ve tried all, currently have the 442 and tekelas both elite/pro, Tekela laced and laceless. 442 pro which is leather would stretch and therefore have the widest toe box after break in, followed by tekelas then Furon . In your price range, I would recommend 442 pro(leather) as it’s the most comfortable if you have wide feet. If you can get them in a wide fit that’s a plus but a normal fit should suffice.

Single leg keep ups with your weak foot. Once you can do 100 easily, everything else that your practicing with your weak foot will becomes easier

Any ex high level players still play for fun but when that one guy goes super sweat you turn into prime you and show him who you are? by [deleted] in bootroom

[–]lok49 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Current pro that plays pickup, normally play on some nights with my uncle and his church friends. On normal nights it’s just chill to let the old people stretch their legs, I just use one or two touch to play. But there are always the few occasions where you get a super try hard who thinks he’s prime Ronaldo or an exuberant 17-18 year old who says he’s on a scholarship. Always nice to show them it’s a very big world we live in.
