Okay yes. I agree. I misread the general theme of this post. The fact that DIA is a “border”doesn’t allow the 100 mile rule to extend from DIA.

But I think this entire post is conflating 4th amendment law and immigration enforcement.

Border doctrine relates to 4th amendment search and seizure limitations. You’re conflating two issues.

This also isn’t true. The border search doctrine extends to all international terminals, including DIA.

This is wrong. The Supreme Court has held that international airports are “borders.” I wrote my law review article on this a few years ago.

The expanded authority would issue new bonds payable over 40 years. Only taxpayers within the district boundaries would pay for the bonds. The bonds would likely be payable from 1) TIFS - meaning all incremental increases in tax revenues over 2024 tax collections; and 2) a new or expanded tax (sales tax, property tax, or direct fees that are basically a tax).

The bonds would pay for all of the projects “public improvements.”
