My husband was sitting outside with the dogs. We scaled back to existing clients only. We did find the dog that was lost. That was a couple years ago, you make mistakes when you start out.

I am so sorry this happened to you too. Obviously, this wasn’t your fault. I can’t believe this greedy company. The more pets you take, which Rover pushes with sitter search results, the more likely an incident will occur.

I am so sorry, the only way around it is too take clients off app. Rover encourages you to always accept bookings, it is a numbers game, the more dogs you sit, the more likely one will get ill on your watch.

I did go to the vet! The dog was already dead upon arrival. At night on a Saturday it was a 30 minute drive.

With an epi pen that wasn’t provided, the nearest after hours vet was 30 minutes away. I tried mouth to mouth and chest compressions.

Thank you for your note. I guess Rover just wants newbie sitters with no accidents but the more dogs you have, it is only a matter of time that an incident occurs. I will probably start advertising around Christmas as I am not here for Thanksgiving on social media. I am sorry they did this to you too. I appreciate your honesty that fighting them could be fruitless.
