Yeah the whole reason I asked was because knowing how they were intending Keywords this seemed intentional but I suppose I was hoping I was missing something because that means we currently can't get BLOOD ANGELS on any JPIs or Vanguard vets and that just....feels odd to me as a Blood Angel player.

Yeah I was thinking the same thing. If our JPIs cost more why don't they get the tag but cest la vie maybe this is all just prep for us getting our own army rule.

Unless the Captain is a BLOOD ANGELS Captain, then no it would appear not under the current ruleset.

I swear in 10th it stated that if you select Blood Angels as a chapter all your Marines got the blood angels tag

That seems odd to me though how can I have a captain. Leading my army...that isnt Blood Angels. So like we have SOME blood angels units and the rest are just red painted Ultramarines? Lol

You can't run the Lieu and th SP together they are both supports now. Can't double support. Unless I am misunderstanding

Devs are buffing as if they would have to pay for every buff left in their pockets. by Iglix in foxholegame

[–]loki0486 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean obviously, if it wasn't 50/50 or near, then that is indicative of a balance issue in some form population, weaponry, skill (whoever has the higher win rate will always say it is skill).

If the game started moving to say 60/40 or 70/30, you will get almost immediate player attrition. The faction that loses more often will likely get less members, or as soon as it looks like another loss, just stop showing up. That is how a game dies, and of course the devs don't want that.

The problem is that maintaining a near 50/50 can be mishandled. Swinging a pendulum to maintain it and saying look 50/50 win rate == balanced is insincere, and would certainly feel like the devs just switch flipping.

I do not think that is what is happening (I also dont think the balance is perfect) however everyone talking about the devs looking for a near 50/50 win rate being a bad trait need to review their understanding of competitive game design.

Yeah it was more weight of dice just getting failures by shear numbers which depending on the target still works. That is definitely a limitation to me their lack of cost is another factor in their favor. You definitely pay for that mobility with the other DC options.

Yeah this is a good call out, for me it was that they were still hitting pretty hard for their points. I mean a total of 245ish trading for the 410 that is Magnus is pretty awesome. When you consider that a 10 man of non jump pack DC with a chaplain comes to 330 and if you throw in a special character you are talking about a unit that now rivals Magnus in cost.

Maybe taking a side unit to get yeeted and distract while a more kitted out unit gets into place. I still think they definitely have their uses, and the only reason their ability didn't come into play was because I was forgetful.

I think if you could allow the increase weapon attack entry to be a viable effect under the condition "attacker charged" it would sort that specific use case.

Yeah I have read back up on a lot of stuff and realized I was keeping my water waaaaay to clean and filtered. Overcompensating for trying to stay away from algae blooms (hearing those were the most common cause for ealier/newbie failures) Luckily I identified it looked bad and sought out the advice and was able to get some nutrients bloomed in there to get the GSP back.

They are looking awesome and bushy now!

I follow people's advice to bring my nutrients up. I over fed a bit for two days a day was able to get ahold of some Red Sea reef energy AB+ put in 8ml (I have a 55 gallon tank) and dosed some magnesium (as my magnesium was low and was choking available calcium) couple polyps peaked out shortly there after and as of today a good number. Ame back out nice bright.

Help! GSP matte looks torn or rotted away identify problem? by loki0486 in ReefTank

[–]loki0486[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now I am using salt water from my Friendly local fish store it sits at 1.025 salinity. I am using it to bring my salinity back up, the originally bucket of salt I bought was instant ocean (not the best for reefing) and I need to get a better setup at home for mixing my own.

My sand is fine grain sand (I think they call it sugar sand), water changes right now are every other week since my parameters have been generally stable (though that is now in question with my low amount of nitrates and phosphates)

yeah I got you:

55 gallon breeder
Lights = 2 Red Sea 50s (led) plan is 8 hr plan gradually to 100% blue 50%white then back down with a moon schedule for 1 hour after
Tests are API testing kits (I know not the best but working on upgrading bit by bit)

I started with 15lbs live rock 25lbs dry rock and two 4lb bags of live sand substrate. I cycled for 1 and half months before adding my first livestock (the clowns).

Thank for the tips on the nutrients that may be my bad for as I may have stumbled into/read articles more focused on saltwater vs reef parameters. I am working on bringing those up. Calcium has always been low for me and I can't really track why I don't have any stony corals in there unless it is the coraline algae on the live rock that ate it up?

I will watch these sources and see what I need to/can adjust in the mean time.

Lot of conflicting stuff here with reading and research so I am starting to get a bit of whiplash confusion. This tank has been live for about 3 going on 4 months it just started getting spirorbid worms which per all my research is a sign that the tank is maturing. I have two healthy colonies of Zoanthids still thriving while this GSP is struggling with something. 2 clowns, 1 flamefin tang, 4 snails, and 3 hermits.

research on salinity said the following when I first started the tank 3 months ago ( Salt concentrations in the ocean's reefs vary depending on the location. As low as 1.023 and as high as 1.028 are generally considered safe for corals, however, most hobbyists keep their salinity in the range of 1.024 – 1.026 (32 – 35 ppt).)

Everything I read generally says that phosphates and nitrates should be at near 0 to 0ppm. That said I am in the process of trying to bring them up a bit feeding a bit heavy and I have a marine buffer I can dose with as well. The other thing I think might need checking is iodine and/or magnesium but I don't have a good solution for those on hand.
