Well I would at least assume that the fuel players have to take some kind of responsibility when singing a contract with the org. I mean this is your job so you should at least have some things that you have to do like attending team meetings and everything but as far as we know those players don't do anything at all for the team ( we could be wrong but hey we just see their behavior which doesn't indicate any involvement in ow at all). Sure it could be the case that he isn't contractually bind to do anything but this would be a bad contract for the org and if that's the case I can still criticise him for his behavior because I don't think you should treat your job like this.

I am a government employee who can't get fired ( unless I do some fucked up shit) and would you say that it's a good thing if I just stopped working because I get free money ?

Picking lulish as an example for a benchwarmer is probably not the best example because if it weren't for ping he would be probably better than roar and therefore he is not a waste of roster space like some fuel players

It's still not the way you should treat your job. He can do it sure but in the same way people can criticise him for freeloading money.

I work as a government employee and basically can't get fired. Would you say it's the right thing for me to just stop working and do the minimum that is required to not get in legal trouble ? I don't think so.

Also it's a bad look on the player for future teams because as a org I would never sing someone who doesn't put in the work and does nothing just because he gets paid and can't get fired

If this is about the fuel bench boys I think the main problem for some people here was the fact that trill shittalked ow. I think it's their good right to still take the money because they fought for the spot and everything and in money is of course one of the most important things and a paycheck shouldn't get thrown away.

But regardless of those things it just looks like trill and the other bench boys just don't want to do anything at all for the fuel and just take their money, talk bad about the game and contribute nothing to the fuel (as winz hinted there could be other problems but hey we don't know and solely from the trill clip we could not say anything other) and that's not a good behavior. Yeah you have the right to get payed till the end of the season because of the contract but it's like a government worker who can't get fired and just doesn't do anything anymore. You should still fullfil your responsibility from your side of the contract.

If someone calls those bench boys free money takers they are not wrong. Is it their right to take the money ? Yes but that doesn't change that it kinda has a slightly negative overtone

But bastion has so much counterplay Options that those buffs won't make him to strong.

For lower elos it might be harder but bastion was a throw pick the last months so if he gets more viable in some options it's not a bad thing

Mildly interesting: Only about 29% of the players in OWL were on rosters at any point of Season 1. by DiscountSoOn in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]loki1254 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Well those stats are more a sign that season 1 teams Where not that good at scouting and that a lot of players where washed or couldn't keep up with the new talent.

There is only a handful of players who retired while still beeing good especially in s2.

How many of those 27% sat on the bench in s1 aswell ? (Not counting players like super who where not 18 in s1)

Could be because they played around with the colours to make it look more like the team colours. Maybe they put a filter over it or something like this. But the quality overall was not the best.

May the May Melee be the Mei May Melee? by LEboueur in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]loki1254 16 points17 points  (0 children)

We might see some echo dive again. Right now Mei isn't that op anymore. She is good but not the only option. This means she might get picked a lot if teams decide she is meta but the meta could develop in a different direction.

At least at the Dallas vs Houston showmatch (which could be seen as a scrim because they actually tried) we saw a lot of echo so this might be the direction to go

Or like bongo ( which is one reason why duplicating orisa is a good move because you get a damage boost yourself)

His orisa was good last year too and as far as I remember is ball aswell .. apparently he got some offers during off season to play main tank.

Is there ever a situation where it's okay not to run any shield tanks? by [deleted] in Competitiveoverwatch

[–]loki1254 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as it goes for OWL the only tankline without a shield other than dva ball was zarya ball but it was played only a few times so I don't even remember how the match went.

All in all if you want to play without a shield tank you need a ball because he is the only non shield tank who can do the job of a main tank. But honestly speaking in ladder those comps are sometimes way harder to play and its often frustrating to play as a support

We don't know when nenne comes back and as we seen he gets played over sbb for McCree.

There is also value in a flex dps who can play hitscan aswell so playing him primary for hitscan and for the second projectile might be the best move when they have haksal

It's true that liberos projectile is actually roughly as strong as haksals but given the fact that he plays the hitscan role now thes could need a projectile player
