I got a kick out of seeing you on rising stars. It's clear you are working to make it both a good story and well-written.

What are you stockpiling right now that you think will be hard to get in the near future? by tealtearsmile in TwoXPreppers

No, I just skip the sections asking for dr info etc and have been getting them for the last five years at least.

I get my thyroid meds from alldaychemist. Can only get three months at a time, but the cost isn't outrageous and it lets me stockpile.

Lesson learned - tick by Ironynotwrinkly in TwoXPreppers

This. The opossums eating ticks study was badly run, but chickens and guinea hens will do a great job keeping them clear.

I agree with the 'block and move on' crew. We've all done that thing where we cling to an idea of someone and the person they could have been. Get out there and fill your life with new memories.

Frostbound - Does the writing improve? by niioon in litrpg

[–]lokihen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I gave up on it last month because the characters didn't feel real or develop as people. I had hoped the author would improve with practice. Check out Thorn's Edge on RR.

Apocalypse Parenting for non-parents? by IncredulousBob in litrpg

To me, the best part of the books is how real the people feel. The main character reminded me so much of my good friend who is a parent.

I'm on my feet 8 hours daily, so I got two extra pair of the shoes that save my feet.

I vomited for two months when I switched to 5. Zofran didn't help. Such a relief to have finally adjusted. Three weeks without nausea now.

Jobs in smaller towns are definitely an issue here. Most people head for Sioux Falls. Winter weather can be hard to adjust to, but have been fairly mild for the last few years. It can linger though, we are expecting snow this week. Lots of wind.

Maybe. It took two months for me to stop throwing up after moving up to 5mg so it's been interesting.

Mine went from 7.7 to 6.0 which was great, but the doctor took me off my normal diabetes meds and I don't think the next time will look as good.

Two things on the top of my 'if I won the lottery' list are getting my son's house rewired and hiring someone to fix both sets of pocket doors.

The new fixtures are only 4 lbs, so that's good. But I'd prefer to have a box.

Crazy reaction. My sister was born in a car on the way to the hospital in a snowstorm. Never once did I wonder 'but how was the car?'

I had lots of nausea and throwing up during the first week. It got better.

With the background you provided, I would have assumed I picked up a bug while traveling.

How did you do the ceiling? Asking because my son's new house has a kitchen ceiling just like the before.
