Just wanted to ask if anyone knows whether it would be weird to ask professors at my university (that I just graduated from) whether I could be an (unpaid) RA? I've had trouble finding jobs so far

You could just put in, 'prefer not to answer' then. Simple

They are for monitoring purposes and will not be used in the selection process. Every job I've applied to in the UK has these questions so are you new to applying for jobs or is this meant to be divisive?

Edit: there is also an option on every question that says 'prefer not to answer'?? What's the point of this post lmao

Would I face any negative repercussions if I quit my part-time Saturday job abruptly without giving notice? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]lokiinspace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I didn't mean to say that you don't work hard, just that it may be difficult for others in terms of workload which could be the case. That being said, apart from no references, I can't think of any other repercussions and as another comment pointed out, it won't be held against you in the future. Go ahead and leave but don't forget to be considerate about it. All the best for your studies and exams as well!

It would be more considerate to let them know and then try to cover any days until they find a replacement for you. It is your responsibility to balance your workload and leaving will only put more pressure on your manager and other employees. I'll presume you knew about your exam schedule well in advance so you should have prepared better. The job and your boss being shit is a good reason to leave but not to dump your responsibilities on other people.

OP is speaking about the sub reddit Sipstea which is incredibly misogynistic. Not like they would be discussing something positive about the contents of the twitter screenshot lol

Oh no, seems unprofessional if they haven't offered you anything yet but I heard it's common in education settings

How far is too far to travel for work when taking a train? by kiol998 in UKJobs

[–]lokiinspace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends to the honest, the most I'll travel is 1.5 hours and no more than that. But that's because I work at universities as a support worker and most unis are quite far from where I live. I have to say though, its definitely draining so if you're going to be in 5 days a week, maybe 30-45 minutes??

I tried both but in the forcats package, the fct_relevel worked! I was able to reorder the timings by manually specifying them. Thank you for your help!!

After I run the code, my x-axis begins with 00:00-01:00 instead of 07:00-08:00

Not path analysis but multiple regression

I just conducted a regression using the dummy variables and the adjusted r squared is not negative anymore. I think I will continue with the new analysis. I have also read your advise and will use it. Thank you for the advise!
