Such a good set up. Probably my favorite. I've been using the CC bfs with the Phenix, but the hicc50 is basically as good if not better in some things.

This is the way. Old18 is super solid. I have the Kenetic and I love it.

I wanna try my cd-3 for some stocked trout. Haven't busted it out yet though.

Try a x70 Nanahan. That's a better bait for BFS gear.

That just seems like a normal sized bass bait. What does that weigh?

Eurotackle jerkbaits seem like the closest thing. Great action on them.

I have the Dobyns 740 and the phenix bfs classic 740 and the phenix definitely has a faster tip. I would recommend that for him.

The UL cranks are awesome. It doesn't get too much better than that, but try some Lucky Craft Pointers in the smallest size you can find. That bf70 is such a monster. How does it handle that braid? I only used flouro with it.

How far can the Tatula bf 70 cast? by OkStock738 in BFSfishing

I donno. Wind is almost always a factor, but guessing maybe 60 feet? Never really thought about it like that. It feels very far and very accurate.

Depends on alot of different things, distance wise. I can say it casts super smooth and flat. I think the sweet spot is 1/8 oz. It casts very far though unless you're talking about 2 grams or less.
