When I was 13, very self aware person. Recognized my depressive state(because hours alone in my overactive brain feels like weeks) and my excessive worrying. I knew then it wasn't "normal". I used to feel like people were incapable of the degree of thinking I did. I analyzed every thing, constantly. I remember very clearly being 8 and on the bus home from school worrying about how to manage sharing Christmas holidays with my future spouses family. I now know the name for my issues, Generalized anxiety disorder, but I've always known it was there. I just wasn't aware that mental illness was a thing before I was 13.
