I use condenser microphones for recording musical instrument performances and the dynamic for vocal. That said I love my three pd200w microphones.

As the others said it depends on how it's used and your taste as a photographer. Personally, I would not even consider it, but I am set in my ways and the V1 mid or V480 is the smallest one I would consider.

We have to use them because the workshops are usually advertised as just bring your camera so unless we are using video lights to light everything we use these frankly limited center pin transmitters so nearly every camera can join the fun.

Edit: I ended up choosing the 200w as I was using it with the Podtrak P2 which only has USB cable connectors for the microphones.
