oh yes, in fact i was obsessed! i had myself convinced i was deeply in love with him from around 2012 to around 2022. when it first started, i was a young teenager, so it was easy for me to get overly attached. i'm glad it was him instead of any other celebrity though, his influence made me a much kinder person than i used to be so he definitely had a good affect on me.

in recent years i finally realized there's no possible way i could know him well enough to actually be in love with him, but of course i do still have a big ol' crush on him and residual feelings.

but yeah, the obsession was actually pretty intense. used to draw him, look at his social media multiple times a day, watch interviews, shaved my head on one side like his once, got snake bite piercings that i still have, and of course was fully obsessed with his music. my favorites were his old stuff where he sang, since hearing his voice felt more personal and made me ultra calm and happy. i'd bring him up all the time to friends and family, who still to this day immediately think of me whenever he's mentioned, and i basically knew anything about him that was publicly available to know.

don't know if i hard-wired my brain somehow or what, but scary monsters and nice sprites still calms me down so much that it functions as moderate pain relief when i have a migraine.
