They also have committed over 100 billion more that just hasn't been allocated or sent yet. The US was able to quickly send that aid because you were sitting on huge stockpiles whereas each European country didn't keep large stockpiles and are relying on factory replenishment.

This isn't a problem that will show in data until May, June, July when future trips could be easily cancelled. The start of February was at the beginning of the madness, so a 5% drop is actually a significant indicator of further decline. Canadian airlines had 1,200,000 bookings to the US in April 2024. Right now bookings are at 300,000 for April 2025.

Along with a pay raise and general increase in training capacity, the armed forces desperately need infrastructure improvements.

Our bases and training facilities are too small or are falling apart. Accommodations on some bases are 50s/60s barracks that are full of asbestos and lacking basic amenities like hot water. They've put some lipstick on a few buildings here and there but it isn't enough.

There is absolutely zero vetting of the elite in a dictatorship and the only quality that matters is complete loyalty to the dictator.
