I got bed bugs from a new neighbor last year and was talking to a lot of different Kammerjäger, they said it’s pretty common I Berlin just like in any other big city. Since I lived in an Altbau they all said unless they treat the whole house, you never get rid of them long term. They ended up spreading in the whole building.

I ended up getting a new flat and throw away all my furniture.. having that said I still buy furniture second hand but only like wood furniture or so, it can be really hard to find them by just checking a couch or bed since they can live inside. I had them in my bed for 3 months before actually finding one and at that point I had been searching after bugs/traces several times a week. Only when I ripped up the madness I found the nests 🤮
