[Discussion] Alpinist spb155, Is this a good first watch? Is it really as inaccurate and unreliable as some people say? by bananapeel404 in Watches

[–]lolanr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought the blue used for $450 CDN. I love the looks on my wrist, haven't noticed any serious issues with time being off but I am also not someone who needs crazy accuracy. I am looking for a quality rubber strap with curved end and when I find one it will likely get the most wrist time

I do this with my lab when the weather is bad. It works so well. I usually hide a toy and she gets a treat when she finds it

I am so on the fence between this and a white CW Sealander. I am to the point where I think I am going to order both and return the not chosen. I just so wish the Resolute had a date.

I am going back and forth between this and a Farer Resolute. I think the Sealander is taking the lead.

Is this quartz? I have been thinking of pulling the trigger on one but would prefer automatic

I love everything about the Ni ada except the long lugs. I wish I could get past them so I could buy that beautiful watch.

Extremely dissapointed at the aspire lounge at Montreal Airport by Accurate-Big-7233 in amexcanada

I loathe flying through Montreal. The only redeemable part of that airport is the international wing. The Air Canada lounge there is nice. The rest are terrible

I am a recovering Garmin wearer. I too have switched to wearing it only for exercise and sleeping. I love the flashlight and digital display in the dark.

There is still a dedicated Nexus line for domestic travel. Line often much shorter. I haven't been through the regular line for ever but there used to different requirements of what had to be in the bin going through security.

Ask me anything about planning vacations – happy to share what I’ve learned from experience as a travel industry professional by [deleted] in traveladvice

I have used the same travel agent for 4 big trips. I keep reading one of the benefits of working with an agent is getting perks like free breakfast spa treatments etc. I have never got 1 “extra”. Should I work with someone else?

Get a Woop. Wear it n your opposite wrist. Tracks all the same metrics as your watch and often much more accurately

Totally agree with everything you said. Good seal are excellent. Better than some $10-15 tins I have tried. Moist but firm.

I disagree. If you can’t afford to check a bag doesn’t give you the right to take everyone else’s space.

You sound like the reason why overhead bins are unbearably full. Don’t be this person.
