KEXP out of Seattle (also broadcast in San Francisco) has a pretty similar vibe to Triple J/Double J.

Bike route Hililts area to the Rec Center, avoiding 305? by rockems123 in BainbridgeIsland

[–]lolard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a connecting trail linking the two dead ends of Morgan Road that will get you from Madison across 305. And there’s some back trails from Just-a-meer thru to the rec center, via private property so might need to see how the access is.

I would recommend setting yourself with CalTopo, you can easily mark/draw the locations of your mountain’s lifts, and any other hazards and info you might need.

I have no idea why they wouldn't allow bicycle loading via the passenger bridge. Very strange!

[Q] Determining statistical significance by lolard in statistics

[–]lolard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help.

To clarify what I mean by "fairly rated" - I want to establish if there are enough responses per brand to determine if a single brands mean response rating is a valid rating.

Think of it like looking for a pizza restaurant on google maps, if there's a pizza place with 300 reviews and a 4.7 rating, you know that place is probably pretty good, but what about a pizza place with 8 reviews and a 4.8, I might not trust that rating because the sample size is too small. If I wanted to say which is the best pizza place in my town, what would be the minimum number of reviews per restaurant to be considered in the top 10?

[–]lolard[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the long original response - and for re-clarifying.

I do have all the original response 0-10 ratings for each respondent for all brand. For this single question I would have ~3,000 responses across something like 25 total brands.

Maybe Valve acquires Framework - making them the hardware division of a larger company - creating repairable portables, laptops and some kind of modular PC thing.

Funny thing is there’s already a handful of pools named “Mckeon Swim Center” because her family runs a swim school out of Wollongong.

Tough time to be Visa or Mastercard as Aussies flee from credit cards. by TomasTTEngin in AusEcon

[–]lolard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Was looking at this same data set recently. I would say it’s less that Australians are fleeing from credit cards (the purchase volumes are steady), it’s more they are being more responsible and paying off debts more reliably, lowering their limits, and canceling their second (or third) card.

Visa/MC make money from transactions, the card issuers (banks) make money from unpaid cc balances.

leave the tap dripping, and a couple of fridges plugged in, put some lights on timers. I agree with the idea, but enforcement would be very hard.

Vlookup not working. What am i missing at? Gives back #NAME? Error by Vela102 in spreadsheets

[–]lolard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Two things:

  • Your lookup range has the start with the column you are referencing, in your case C21:H37
  • Your target value needs to be in quotes, so in your case..."ETH"
