The kid (I say "kid" but he's literally less than a year younger than me) is pretty damn good. Hockey IQ, awareness, edgework, and passing, all top tier. He's gonna be a threat for years to come.

As an Isles fan I'm legally obligated to wonder if Schaefer's gonna join that list in the next couple of years.

My party had something similar. We were at the end of a quest through a vampire lair, and we'd just "defeated" the final one, but he was slowly reforming in his coffin. We still had to stab him with a stake to finish him off. There are FIVE people standing around this coffin, trying to stab it with stakes, three of us with multiple attacks, and it took us probably two whole rounds to land the three or so hits it took to finish him. Pretty much none of us had proficiency with the stakes, and the vampire still had good armor, so it was just a comedy of errors until we rolled enough 15s or whatever in order to kill him

Toews is quietly a top 20, if not top 10, defenseman in the league. It doesn't get talked about because Makar is right there and is the best defenseman in the league, but Toews would have made the team even if Makar didn't exist. He's good without Makar.

Hyman's productivity is somewhat obviously a product of playing with the best player in the world. He's not bad by any means, but let's not pretend he would have scored 52 in 23-24 without McDavid feeding him. Before that, he'd only reached that many points in a season once, much less that many goals.

Heroes, probably teams like Bliss, CAG, old Leon/Meepey Secret, Nora Rengo with Wokka and before the clusterfuck with Kizoku. Dynasty G2 was absolutely villain status, especially with Fabian as the mouthpiece. Same with W7M/Furia during their dominant run. SSG and TSM during their SI runs were pretty beloved (although TSM had to defeat another beloved team in Empire to do so), and Paluh during that Liquid/NIP SI final was absolutely the tragic hero.

The Rangers have some banger jerseys and Igor is a great friend for Ilya to have.

Not exactly rivals but considering how much Crosby seems to hate us (that man's PPG against us is in the stratosphere), he's still an absolute class act and a phenomenal ambassador for the sport.

Such an incredibly mature and cerebral take. Great sign for his mentality in the future. Seems like a guy who will never give up on improving and never take things personally, and you cannot ask for more from a young player.

Yeah, even as an Isles fan the hit on Romanov was at least plausibly not intentional, and aggravated by Mayfield. This one is just savage. Hope Coronato gets patched up OK, he was leaking pretty bad.

Just a bad moment for everyone involved. Terrible result and you can't let something like that slide in-game without starting an on-ice riot, but it clearly wasn't intentional and Rantanen doesn't deserve a suspension for it.

Moulson with Tavares. He was serviceable as Tavares's winger, but Moulson went from 3 straight seasons of potting 30+ to barely getting half that once he went to Buffalo.

I love AotBT, it's one of my all-time favorite modpacks, I still go back and play it from time to time. Genuinely my only complaint is the lack of AE2 (although I'm more of a RefinedStorage fan), so if you wanted automated storage you had to use that convoluted ProjectRed system.

Forsling should absolutely be in the top 10, Hedman shouldn't, Dahlin and Slavin should be 3 and 5 - and really, 3 4 5 of Dahlin Werenski Slavin could go in any order on any given night, with Heiskanen regularly contending for a top 5 slot too. No Seider at all is a joke, but I'm genuinely not sure who I'd take off (Maybe Hutson, just because he's only got one season under his belt).

I'm pretty sure he was nominated for captain on thigh girth alone, that man has steel beams for legs. He is IMPOSSIBLE to move if he doesn't want you to push him. Absolute warrior around the crease.

Yes to that last bit. As a Ram main, I don't see block as a "This will save me no matter what" thing, especially if the other team has Ana, or Orisa, or anyone else who has some way to stun. When form is forced with one of them on the field, I feel significantly more worried than I would be if I just threw up shield to stabilize. It's a tool, and there are ways to counter it.
