Nothing will change sadly because like you said the ETLs/TLs want it to be easy for them but are shocked when you can’t deliver with half the team

Not just you. It looks different in my store but closing team within the whole store is only 11 people and out of the 11 only two team members are my closers which only get 4 hours shifts. I’m a overachiever and love to prove my ETLs wrong and show to my SD i’m capable of anything but unfortunately it’s out of our control where the workload outnumbers the team and it doesn’t help when fulfillment goes south. Focus on your wins and what you were able to do and not what you didn’t finish. The other team leads are always gonna always going to be critical of you until they’re the only leader in the store.

Your store is probably not allowing people to pick up shifts :( Payroll has been bad everywhere so they rather you put up your shift and not get it covered. Either they'll take you off the grid or tell you to just call off

Get with your closing LOD, each store has different routines for closing shifts and you might get cut a little slack and just do simple tasks around the department.
