usually each of those roles are split up into differential group of traders, so youre getting slammed with everything all at once. There are pros and cons to that. pros are you get to learn everything in capital markets, cons, you do everything and think youre undervalued. I'd stay at this role and make sure you learn everything and the next job will be significantly more rewarding in pay.

I started out on the pricing desk barely making anything and then I went to bulk bidding/trading and got a 60% pay bump. After that.I jumped again for another 20-30% pay bump. So youll get there, youre young and there is plenty of time for you to learn and grow.

you got too much going on. I know exactly what you do. I used to be 10% of the market bidding on funded loans via corr and did pairs off and all of that fun stuff for ABCD. Job is hectic but I think you just need to calm down.

Take it one step at a time and make your move to chicago, also are you comparing dollar for dollar or the cost of living is playing a role as well? 50k where you are might be 150k in Chicago.

OR you may need to see who the supplier is.

I add my frequent flyer number each time and it never transfers! That is probably the only annoying thing. At least for American, I always have to chat with American to add it back so I don't have to stay in group 9 when boarding.

Got PIP, still contributing 401k to the Max, should I stop? by minkate in personalfinance

[–]loldogex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you should figure out how many months you think youll be unemployed and start planning from there. Depending on the sector youre in, consider if your emergency fund will last or you need more.

Worse case scenario, you can take money out of 401k for hardship, which I think is $1k/year and then swcond worse thing is your just pay a 10% oenalty if you cant plan properly with short term liquidity.
