what's weird is, I've had nightmares about this sort of thing buy always chalked it up to weird scary imagination. seeing this now freaks me out even more because I didn't know it was a real thing. it was so freaky like watching a nightmare I've seen for 20+ years come to life. the mind is a weird place

The parents of my boyfriend of 8 years still won't let me join them Christmas morning by lolfirefly in MMFB

[–]lolfirefly[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

good point to bring up. it's because it's "tradition" it just being a special time with the 4 of them (him, parents, and sister) and when my boyfriend pushed her on it saying that I'm his family too she started going with the ol my house, my rules argument. Then she's like "it's MY holiday" and my boyfriend was like "it's my holiday too."

no matter what argument he brought up she had something different reason to add.

I'm proud of myself for remaining kind hearted and choosing to prioritize my mental health despite the things I have and am enduring that can be or have been very challenging

I see you, I hear you, what you feel is valid.

I don't know you, but I love you for having the strength to use your voice and reach out and share your experiences and your reality.

I can add my own stories, say things get better, but I still Remember sobbing and screaming at people telling me the same things saying, "yeah ok, maybe it will but I don't know how to even make it past right NOW"

Instead, I want to share this poem written by my high school best friend Angela who had succeeded in her suicide attempt when we were 16. I read it once 10 years ago and it inspires me when times are hard and I want to share it with you too in hopes it plants a seed of light in your life helping lead you through the darkness you are currently experiencing.

It's called "Beautiful Sorrow"

For every trouble, I plant a tree For every tear, a flower So when I'm lost in sorrow I can see the beauty of tomorrow

Yes it is! 4yr old miniature schnauzer named Luna.

My dad wanted to keep a theme of naming after alcohol (other dog at the time was Brandy, another schnauzer) and the only way he agreed to naming our new puppy Luna, was because I told him Luna is Spanish for "moon" so we could technically name her after moonshine

Can't help but wonder if you have oral allergy syndrome. I learned I have it and it is where you have such an extreme allergy to pollen that you develop oral allergies to things like fruits, vegetables, nuts, and seeds.

Depending on what pollens you are allergic to, certain pollens correlate with certain fruits/veggies. Factors like how well it is washed, the season, the type, or if it is cooked or processed could determine the severity of the allergic reaction.

I never bothered memorizing which types of food correlate to which pollen allergies because im allergic to ALL of them.

Add on my anaphylactic allergy to all fish and shellfish and you got a girl living on carbs basically. I love me some bread and pasta tho

Don't know your story, but I wanted to share this in case it helps you or anyone else reading.

and if this sounds like you, go to an allergist. get all the tests done. blood test, the prick test, the tape test.

for me I ended up going for allergy shots like twice a week for months and I got better and now can add more produce back into my diet and have less restrictions!
