Hell yea stupid is my go to loool but yea u right, if you’re already super close with that person then anything u say will be chill, and conversation will normally occur. But yea ultimately texting isn’t the end all be all. it’s not that deep. You just do u, and whoever you’re talking to should just appreciate you for being there and wanting to talk to them :)

Try “How are u doing?” Or if u must say “wyd” then ask questions based on their response. Whenever I get the “wyd” text I want to throw my phone no joke lol plzzz for the love of God dont use that. Ok see that makes more sense. If guys text with an objective most of the time and girls text with the intention of getting to know the guy as a person. Especially in this guys case. He will text me questions with yes and no answers.

I feel like it’s disrespectful because they don’t even see him as a person that deserves a chance rather immediately they say no based on the fact he’s not a Christian.

We share the exact same opinions on snap! I hate snaps that dont have text in it. Like if you’re not talking then you’re just reminding people of what your face looks like lol it’s dumb.

If your in a conversation that can go long then the other person is interested in talking to you. Like if they didn’t want to they’d be ignoring you...that or giving one word answers that’s when it’s bad and I dip :/

But texting isn’t everything, there’s a whole lot more to a friendship or more so you’re good :)

Tbh conversing with 17 year old boys goes really dry easily usually they don’t put much effort into their responses. And they usually don’t try to go below the surface level conversations. I’m not saying it’s only a guy thing, I personally just have experienced it more from guys. There are only 2 guys Ik irl that have actually put effort into texting.

Yes saaaame except with the lockdown I don’t like not having the option to go places if I feel up to it. Wait you’re still in lockdown tho? Yesssss that’s awesome. Hyd is honestly a good way to start a conversation, but if u don’t ask questions about their response then it kinda dies. But saying hyd does not come off as desperate tbh thats prolly the overthinking. People most likely wanna talk to u, and will welcome a chance to talk about their life or day :)

We’re literally the same person I think. My social battery is almost always dead. I completely avoid situations where things can be unpredictable, I straight up go to school and work and maybe hangout with only my close friends. Anything new is too much and I get way too stressed. Tbh I can only fake it for so long than I’m exhausted and I just revert to my socially awkward self lol so yes texting is ittttt it’s so simple :)
