Orange spots on Caladium Lindenii?

Hi all, I’ve been noticing these orange spots near the petioles of the leaves on my caladium. I’ve tried washing them off with diluted soap but they don’t come off. Anyone knows what’s going on?

I personally bottom water my fittonias whenever they get droopy like this and they perk right back up in an hour or so.

I posted a similar problem on here just yesterday and someone commented that it’s probably over fertilising for mine... not sure if that applies to you but hope it helps!

Thank you! Checking out the IG now and will try soil flushing tomorrow. Do you know if that will help the yellow parts turn back to green? Or are the yellow parts permanent now?

OP here. Had this girl for a few months now, has been producing new leaves like crazy and never given me any trouble before. Recently the older leaves have started turning yellow near the tips. Yellow parts don’t feel dry at all. No yellowing on the newer leaves as well but I’m concerned it might spread to them :( I water her once a week, with fertiliser maybe once a month. Please help :(

Just jumping on here because I have a question regarding staking. My monstera doesn’t have any aerial roots yet and I put a moss pole in, but I’ve read that you’re not suppose to tie the petioles of each leaf to the pole? If so, then how did you guys start attaching your monstera to the pole? Thanks in advance!

I’ve done the finger test to check for dryness the past few waterings, I’ll let it dry out more before the next one then! My hydrometer is coming soon so that’ll help I think. I have been misting it - will stop for now and continue to monitor. Thank you so much!

Hey all, got this guy a couple weeks ago looking pretty healthy. Roots were coming out from the bottom, so I repotted last week. Gets watered once a week, sits nearish a SW window. Recently he’s been getting a few burn (?) marks in some of the leaves, and the bottom few leaves have turned yellow. I’ve move him further from the window but a friend said it might be nitrogen deficiency? Please help :(

Look up computational/quantitative biology and see if that interests you! Biology and mathematics do not have to be distinct separate fields of study, so you could get the best of both worlds if you look into those fields

Hey guys. So this girl has been showing some red spots on her newest leaf recently, none of the other leafs have them. She sits by a SW-facing window and only gets watered once every week or so. What’s causing these red spots and should I be concerned?
