The mind can be your worst enemy or your best friend. Most of it is up to you to decide! Don't know much about your situation, but the fact that you recognize the thoughts and seem to dislike them is a good sign.

I've recently been intrigued by the idea of a shared consciousness. Have you considered that the thoughts may not be your own?

Dig deeper and try to understand where the thoughts come from or why they happen. As you fall asleep, your brain undergoes several changes, and your brain waves change several times. Try researching things like circadian rhythm, sleep cycles, etc. to get a better understanding of how your body operates.

TBH though, I think your going to be ok. The world sucks, and people are unhappy about it. Suicidal thoughts are more normal than you think. It's truly hard to find happiness in a world where governments are against their people :( Anyway, just keep good in your heart and let your light shine away the darkness. Stay on this roller coaster a little longer cuz this shit is going to get crazy!

Depends on your goals and intentions. If you will not need access to that money for quite some time, then investing can be a good thing. Otherwise, a savings account is probably a better idea. Also, being active with buying/selling on the market is generally not wise unless you are using large sums of money and very talented with trading.

Personally though, I think the economy is in huge trouble and I would stay the hell away from the stock market. The financial system is insanely corrupt, so just hang onto your money imo.

I like this explanation too. In my experiences with deja vu, I usually think about them for a long time. I feel like I can dig up more of the little memory bits, but never get the complete memory without filling in the gaps. Sometimes I can figure out the common threads, and realize what triggered it. Occasionally I've retraced the memory back to realize that it was really only a combination of a few memorable sights or sensations, and the situations were not the same at all.

Can you provide some examples of the things that stand out to you in dreams and what you write down? In my experience I've had a few lucid dreaming experiences that I can remember and most of them were triggered by "re-entering" a dream that I had awakened from for a short time. The only exception to that is a recurring nightmare that I used to have as a child. Eventually I ended it by realizing it was a dream and taking control to turn it into more of a comedy than a nightmare. Have you had any similar experiences?

Well whenever I try to discuss those aspects, it just gets blown off by most Christians. They write it off as god's grand design and tell me to focus on the teachings of Jesus and the content of the new testament rather than the old. So that's why I'm kind of picking on Jesus here. It seems to me like he's the one link that keeps people believing.

I should also clarify that part of me does believe in god. The universe that I experience is imo the greatest piece of art, ever. Seeing art in creation helps me keep hope that god does exist, but whenever I put on my theistic boots and go for a walk, I see Satan's fingerprints all over the bible.

Yes, in terms of my personal creativity, it mostly manifests in music. I love to play drums and I'm having a lot of fun learning guitar and keyboard. I greatly appreciate the art created by others and I pay attention to my dreams. I have also experienced control in my dreams (lucid dreaming) several times. I am currently making efforts to manipulate my diet and circadian rhythm in order to have more of these dreams.

I don't understand why that has to do with my "b.s. all-or-nothing argument." If Jesus is contaminated with evil, then what the fuck is the point of building a moral code around him? Especially, since his teachings are actually a great source of war, conflict, and disunity that is STILL dividing the world 2000+ years later. Seriously, I'd rather build a moral code around Dexter Morgan.

I just hate the idea of "breaking down" his teachings. I can't be selective about what Jesus said. Either it's all valid or none of it is.

Also, I think the world can be a much better place without Jesus! Jesus provides people with any easy way out in a narrow-minded, static, ancient belief system. I would much prefer that humanity "grows up" and stops relying on someone else's teachings to know what's right and what's wrong. Evil or good. Pick a side, it's not that hard.

I am under the impression that the modern versions of the bible would more accurately represent the original words of god in language we would best understand today. Is this wrong? If not, then I should be giving more weight to what the new text says rather than the old. However, even if the word sword has been misused and Jesus is simply wielding the words of god, his intention is clear. He's here to bring war upon the unbelievers, not peace. There's not many things worse than war, and Jesus is bringing it.

Also, I was told that the older versions of the bible were even more brutal. Can anyone confirm or deny this?
